Thank you Ian Anderson for all the great music. I first heard Jethro Tull in the late 60s and have been enjoying the music ever since. Head and shoulders above any other band IMO.
Thank you Ian. I am listening very often to this wonderful album in my car. I am German and 72 years old now and it brings me every time nice memories. Regards.... and keep rocking!
The series of Jethro Tull album releases in this format are great and, possibly, the best examples of how to really present the music to the fans. I look forward to this album as I recall watching the broadcast from Madison Square Garden. The performance made me an instant fan of the band Jethro Tull.

What an amazing Artist. Such a polished and bountiful depth of creativity revealed song by song, album by album.. over so many years.... A true musical force.... A Legend indeed.
I can vividly remember the excitement of sitting waiting for the 1978 satellite broadcast to begin. I was at my friend's house and had his dad's Sony "Music Centre" on tuned to BBC Radio 1 FM. Stereo broadcast TV in 1978! Amazing!
Hello my dear Ian. Detroit guy here. I've seen Tull 8 times, never in the same venue. "Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Festhalle Bern. Sit back, relax and enjoy the evening with..." Hello Ian, I'm what you might call a lifelong fun of Tull. This video just reminded me of mid 70-ties when Tull gave their first concert in Belgrade. Then I acquired Songs From The Wood which is to this day my favorite, together with Heavy Horses and Stormwatch. From that point on I researched Jethro Tull backwards in time and collected everything the band (in all its incarnations) published afterwards. Funny thing is that the Madison Square Garden concert (together with the famous "Russian microphonics" 🤣) was about the first thing my family watched on our brand new color TV. As for Bursting Out I heard it so many times I think I can sing or whistle every single minute of it even today. So thank you Ian and the guys for improving my life with your inimitable music and super-funny shows.
The first song I heard from Jethro Tull was Skating Away on the thin ice of the new day. And I was hooked. I literally wore out the War Child LP. By the way, I have a fantastic (replacement) original copy of War Child. And I own most of your major releases. I also own the bootleg Flute Cake. I will be purchasing a copy of Bursting Out as well. I would love to hear an in-depth talk on how Mr Anderson developed his breath control. He managed his incredible pitch and tone while actively moving on stage also being on one leg. Switching between flute and singing without time for a proper inhale. I just don't understand his breathing muscles or how he controlled them. I have seen other performers manage this well like Axl rose and freddie mercury but non come close to being as proficient as Ian Anderson in this regard
Ian is still a most brilliant clever man. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2002. He does not shake hands for fear of being injured by a too-tight grip by an enthusiastic fan --- He taps elbows. Then he did a solo tour called, "Rubbing Elbows With Ian Anderson" and everyone in the audience got a free autographed kazoo. (Anybody can play a kazoo --- Why not you?)
Been a Tull-ite since the early 70s but we caught the Rubbing Elbows stop in Chicago with our son. Ian handed down *his* kazoo to our son who was around 10 at the time. It was a special evening and still is a nice memory!

Thank you Ian Anderson for sharing your amazing gifts and talents with the world 🌎. I can't count the hours of joy I've had over the years listening to Jethro Tull & at 66, i know it's been many. Lucky enough to see Tull twice in concert. 🔥💯
Yah, my sister bought that album... just floored at age 13 with lyrics, hauntingly beautiful music sounds like no other band of that time or any other in 2024.
Bursting Out was salvation for me in my freshman year of college. Engaging Steve Wilson was such a good move for all of the JT classics. Thanks, Mr. Anderson. You are definitely a classic as well.
thanks for the tunes dude! my favorite live album. ordered mine awhile back, it should be coming soon
Just need to reissue the other 40th Anniversary boxed sets for Stand Up; A Passion Play; Warchild; Heavy Horses etc. now.
