I really like Ms. A’bassi and the lady who stood in for her a couple times (wish I knew her name!) too, she just has not made a lot of appearances yet. And also, I don’t dislike her for what she did trying to make them pay her more either.. $15,000 for this case?! Yeah right. Who can live on that?!

These days people won’t that wow feeling and want to be able to say I wouldn’t want to get cross examined by her after the opening statement. I don't understand why pictures are allowed in opening statements at all. I thought documents and pictures had to have a foundation laid BEFORE they are shown to the jury. So the prior ruling that "we'll deal with it when it comes up" any reasonable lawyer would expect to occur during the evidentiary stage, NOT during opening statements. WTF is going on with these lawyers.

Generally, you can use a photo in opening if you have a good faith basis to believe it will be admitted into evidence.
