This was great but I wish you could have mentioned the anvil point that comes with the hand piece- the HP10177 - the flat top taper anvil.

I don’t think anyone with a knowledge of files would use one to file hardened steel…it sounds awful..😱..and will ruin the file.
A grinding wheel or stone would be better to get the initial required shape..

The tips are not hardened steel. Did you not hear Melissa talking about the tip being altered by hitting on 'soft' precious metal?
