Loid is developing a conflict. Deep inside him, he knows that, he is falling for Yor and Anya, he is falling for his family. So welcome Mr Macalllan 18 years!
Loid would save himself a lot of worry if he'd just admit to himself that there's no reason to disband his family when the mission's done. Convincing himself that he's cold, calculating and heartless is a sort of shield he uses in his work, and that may be to protect himself from pain when inevitable tragedy strikes. Remember in the first episode, he tried talking himself into simply abandoning Anya as a disposable child when she was kidnapped. He puts up the same cold front with his old friend Franky, because he knows one day Franky could be captured or killed, and he would have to steel his heart and move on. But in the end, he saves Anya. In the end, he would do whatever it takes to rescue Franky. That's just the way he's built.
In some background material and the Spy Family: Code White movie, we learn that Twilight had a mission where he went undercover as a chef at a fancy resort, so he learned to cook from a world-class chef. Being Twilight, he of course mastered everything in the kitchen, but he has maintained his skills because he likes the activity of cooking (it impresses the ladies, as well!) Yor probably felt a little intimidated going up against her husband's meals, but family recipes are always the best ones.
