Hi, not to be rude, but Trinidad was once a French speaking country, because there were a lot of French settlers from the other eastern Caribbean Islands, that settled in Trinidad. That's why patios is or was spoken in places like Paramin . When the British took over the Island they made English the main language to be spoken, and eventually Trinidad became an English speaking island. But you can still hear some patwah being spoken within the diaper such as words like tanty, Doo do darling, Joubert and fete etc. They also have some influence from the Spanish because they were under Spain before the British and there were Venezuelans that settled and owned farms etc. Looking for greener pastures also and I guess that's where parang started. So Trinidad is one of the most diverse Island in the Caribbean.
Hey guys, nice blog, I love the view of the ocean and the museum also was very interesting and informative. Enjoy your trip as here in the UK the weather still looks confused
Hay sis! How are you? Glad you enjoyed it. Gosh English weather needs to get it together! You’d think with all the technology they’d be able to sort that out 😂
I heard about Robert Melvin before but i have never seen this piece of history also yes In Grenada we heard about people flying at night it happens during my parents time
@@lifeinprogressUKThis question right here is why the world looks at People Of Colour as Uneducated. Melanin skin needs to be protected just as everyone else. We still get skin cancer, sunburn and damage to the body's largest organ. So Please Continue To Use Your Platform To Educate The Public About The Damage The Sun Can Do and Be Careful. I still use an umbrella when I visit my family in Trinidad and Tobago. Love You Guys And Your Content. Continued Success.👍💯💯💯🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

Thanks for visiting
Trinidad do not speak patois. It's french creole that they speak
Just Creole we speak English not French
Belizeans, Jamaicans, some Puerto Ricans speak patois. Haitians understand your creole, because it's french creole, not patois my dear.
interesting, so in our latest video when they say things like "mi deyah" which is Jamaican patios, you're saying that that is creole??
