After all the times he saved her, MJ wanted to be helpful to Peter. That's why she threw herself into risky situations and asked to be Spider Man's partner. And she was frustrated that he never seemed to understand that and kept treating her like she couldn't handle anything on her own. In this game, we can see that MJ and Peter treat each other as equals. They trust and depend on each other without obsessing over it.

Yes, trust a woman with no super powers, abilities or millions of dollars to do it. Laura Bailey is amazing as Mary Jane. Peter and MJ are my favourite thing about this game, the story really hits!

Insomniac did what Spider Man 3 failed to do. This is probably one of the best sequels to a Spider Man game ever
Insomniac tells such a great story between these two from the first game to this one. Even in Spider-Man miles Morales. Peter went to Symcaria with MJ there as well. He didn’t need to but he went there in support for her. Insomniac just does a great job of making these characters relatable. And just the way MJ and Peter are together. They make me so happy and smile seeing them. They compliment each other greatly.

Some of these are debatable. Tony Stark was a total shitbag to Pepper both in the comics and the MCU. In the comics, he cheated on her with Maria Hill (who also thought she was the only one dating him). In the MCU it is also strongly implied he cheated on her. Hank Pym, in the comics, committed domestic violence against Janet Van Dyne. Wanda in the comics murdered Vision and used him to attack the Avengers. Jean Gray killed Scott Summers in X-Men 3 the Last Stand. Reed is also pretty neglectful of Sue. Gambit cheated on Rogue a couple of times.

the third game is going to end with peter and MJ kissing at their wedding, where you will either play as Miles or Cindy attending the wedding as the final playable story mission of the game. the end credits will probably have mayday being born.
