It was a very good choice to chose an obscure period in Roman history to set this. These days, everybody wants their character to be present and influential in some major historical event, and it breaks the suspension of disbelief, sapping the story of all realism. It was also nice that they didn't try to make him scary or bizarre. He's more of a curiosity, and one of the rare scps whose life the Foundation actually improved. Is this SCP really all that different from Dr. Bright? It's another spirit which possesses any human which it is worn by, although the helmet is essentially a neutered version of the amulet, since it can just be taken off. However, the basic principle is still the same. This helmet could very well be of some use to the Foundation, whether that use be the warrior's courage and dexterity being put to use as a member of an MTF or SD squad, or just being an immortal employee like Dr. Bright. Since his unfamiliarity with modern technology can soon be ended just by a little teaching, this anomaly could be of great use to the Foundation. Hopefully one person bothers to read this entire essay I wrote in the form of a comment.
I love how Dr Bob frequently shows us this side of SCP. It's kind of sad how almost all SCP youtube channels seem to solely focus on "welp, heres another anime-tier world ending scenario, is it interesting or unique? No not really. I get how different people like different things, and that's completely ok. I just think it's a bit sad how little attention these gems get nowadays, but I'm very thankful for Dr Bob for consistently showcasing these absolute bangers.
I dunno why, but i loved this scp story a lot. It's just so simple, no reality warpers, no gods, no over the top thing that can't be destroyed or stopped and will kill you no matter what. Just a rusty helmet with a lost soul inside.
The only criticism I have is this, Rome is the center of Latin study, not to mention Vatican city. There are literally hundreds of people in Rome that speak Latin, odd that they'd send for a podunk, country fish Warden, when there would be people within walking distance.

Nice
Love the Joker bus scene recreation at 0:51
I'm just in awe at how much better the art and animation has been getting lately, almost to a mesmerizing quality with the feel it gives off. Keep up the good work along with the insanely catchy stories!
I like to think they find a Class-D who is closest to his old form, then they keep him in a body and teach him history, science and what has changed and he becomes a good Dr. And helps around his containment site.
5:49 that was just too damn funny 😂 totally savage.
the animation is sooooo smooth in this video, I love it!
Agreed
Another amazing video dude!! Improvements in every single one are insane, I look forward to these every week to see your awesome art!! The little nicks and texture lines on all of the objects you draw are super cool details that I love and they add so much to the style you've got going. Another thing I really am impressed by is how much movement you're able to pack into a PMV style animation, I definitely have a lot to learn about that and will totally be doing more research on your animations to see all the cool details and try to learn from them. Keep up the great work!
It's a good day when a Roman-themed SCP drops.
Dr. Bob’s video are som of the best. This video is no exception.
Has Dr Bob done the Furies yet? SCP 1913-1 through SCP 1913-3
Would love to see how he would discuss those!!
They could make a movie out of this fr. From the curse to the fading To waking up could all be done awesomely. And the plot could be finding out how to remove the curse so he could rest or something.
Imagine the massive value this SCP would have for historians.
Wonder if they "leak" some of that knowledge out somehow. At least the non-anomaly stuff.
The animations are so smooth you seem to be improving to time to time.
Great work on animations ❤️
Feels like im on 240p when in 144 actually
This is the absolute BEST SCP series! I always jump to watch every time a new one comes on!!!
I just wanna point out, the Polizia and Carabiniri are two different groups, his uniform in the video is Carabinieri not Polizia because of the white sash and red strip on the legs.Provincial Polizia have a separate uniform and are not the same as Carabinieri but do work together, it is nice to see such detail put into the uniforms though that is accurate just not polizia.
I love when SCP stories are set in other countries other than the USA
It's kind of sad how almost all SCP youtube channels seem to solely focus on
"welp, heres another anime-tier world ending scenario, is it interesting or unique? No not really. It's got a 70-page script though" -type SCPs.
Id rather take 5 smaller scale, more personal SCPs over a thousand galaxy-scale completely non-immersive SCPs any day of the week.
I get how different people like different things, and that's completely ok. I just think it's a bit sad how little attention these gems get nowadays, but I'm very thankful for Dr Bob for consistently showcasing these absolute bangers.
Another amazing video about an strange anomaly
Oh gosh, the animation is just top notch, I see big improvement! I simp 😍
I love your series, how exactly do you go about animating? Do you have a team or writers that help you make scripts and stuff?
"Hi I'm Dr Bob!!!!" Makes me happy to hear it! ❤️🌟
I love these bob, please make more
And writing even more. Its rly nice.Keep up good work.
I like how the officer looks exactly like Victor for arcane
I dunno why, but i loved this scp story a lot. It's just so simple, no reality warpers, no gods, no over the top thing that can't be destroyed or stopped and will kill you no matter what. Just a rusty helmet with a lost soul inside.
I really want to see Dr. Bob cover SCP-1386 or SCP-490, one of the ice cream truck SCPs
I vote 490
@@Dante_xy7 hell yeah. That one is more interesting
@@XvlerLorenzo glad you liked thanks 👍😄
Man the person checking publius is signed... Dr bob and your arcane refrences are great... I only can immagine how much i miss.
Is the helmet safe, Euclid, or Keter? Just curious.
probably safe when has no host and euclid when has one
its in the description
Have you heard of the box test? Or maybe my reasoning is wrong
The only criticism I have is this, Rome is the center of Latin study, not to mention Vatican city. There are literally hundreds of people in Rome that speak Latin, odd that they'd send for a podunk, country fish Warden, when there would be people within walking distance.
Maaaaannn I wish the police officer had been recruited to the foundation, he made this story so immersive
Molto bene, Signore Bob!👏👏👏
im gonna say it . the protag officer is incredibly hot
WHAT IS THIS SOUND EFFECT LMAO 6:32
🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
I think you are one of the few scp channels with good animation and story
Yes, yes you can speak Latin.
Tarnished you say?
*Elden Ring Menu Music Starts Blaring
We need you to make a video centered on SCP-752
Yh please
Wasn't expecting an Arcane reference ❤️💯🔥👌
Okay, but what if someone was wearing both the helmet and Dr. Bright's amulet?
i don't know if anyone has already noticed but whoever designed the victim of the story watched the Netflix series Arcane because that suit and look is definitely close to Viktor one of the characters from the show
any italian watching this:"look how they massacrated my boy"
Best SCP channel ever : PERIOD
wow this is such a cool story. very compelling. no offense but normally the stories you tell are a little corny, this one is just fun and really interesting. keeps my attention really well.
edit: I really hope the foundation recruited the poor police man instead of giving him amnestics like they do most people.
Been here 18 seconds late since this was posted another great video from Dr. BOB everytime a notif from him appears from my phone i immediately clicks it... Keep up the good work DR. BOB
💛💛

Sir Bob, you are a blessing, both for a unique experience and a lovely voice to fall asleep to, thanks for hours of entertainment. :)
