only "improbability" is a stem in this case , stems is simply the word without inflectional morpheme. the plural "s" is an inflectional morpheme so improbability is the stem of improbabilities , but you cant say that improbable is the stem of imrobability , or probable is the stem of improbable , because theres no inflectional morpheme .
