The woman shown was my mother from Warsaw. The second photo was her Cyrla Goldsheider-Wajsfeld with the Bundist group formed by her brother upon the extraction of her sister Chawa from the ghetto.
The lyrics were adopted from a poem of Hirz Glick, which was an inmate of the Jewish Ghetto in Vilnius. He was part of the resistance group FPO in the Ghetto and this is also where this song was created.
