I dont even have an ipad right now, but with how cheap the app is I'm going to buy it just to support the developers. I want other companies to see that you don't need to make every app a subscription in order to run a successful business.
Yeah this is a great point and I agree completely, subscriptions have gone crazy and it’s nice to see a company who doesn’t need to reply on that
Undo being preserved with the file is very handy. I have had apps close down on me and there by losing the ability to undo unwanted changes.

Toonsquid is already out for iPad iOS and is only $10. Does far more than what they showcased here for Dreams. As an animator, Procreate did not showcase any features like symbols, rigging, parenting, camera layer, multiplane, vector brushes, path tool, etc. Maybe they are there and just weren’t in the presentation but a lot of those features are huge necessities and time savors when animating. Id call Procreate Dreams more of a motion graphics app than an animation app.
Yeah I agree, I guess getting hands on with it will tell us a lot more, but fingers crossed we do see some more of these features in the final app when it launches.

Always wanted to play around with animation but the learning curve in most programs is way too steep.

I’ve been in the professional animation world for decades. Dreams is impressive!
Can Dreams use internal SSD drives like the video editing iPad app LumaFusion does?
LumaFusion is not an animation app of course - however its seamless SSD compatibility is excellent. Both your files and thin project itself can live in the external drive. So nothing touches your iPad storage limits.
This goes beyond iCloud, which only stores files.
In my case I have a 2TB SSD plugged into my iPad power port, with all my video clips and projects on the SSD and LumaFusion treats those medias as if they were on the IPad.

Hey 👋🏻 thanks for the insights and I agree with what you’re saying. In response, I believe it will be able to use not only internal SSD as well as external hard drive, sounds like you have a good method of animation atm and I’m just as excited as you to use Dreams!

Yeah sure is! I purchased Procreate about 8 years ago and have had multiple new iPads but never had to pay another cent for Procreate 😁✅

I’m not sure and I can find anything about this online yet. If it is supported, I would say it might not run very efficiently due to the power of the iPad 9th gen, but let’s wait and see and hopefully it is supported and does run well 🤞🏻

I can’t seem to find any info about which models will be supported but hopefully they release this soon, I would imagine quite a few generations of iPad will be supported 🤞🏻

They won’t scrap the previous procreate cus they mentioned it the the two apps was supposed to support each other. In fact they will enhance it more
They said that there are some features for this coming to procreate, specifically the larger document size, performance improvements and unlimited undo.
I stayed up too but was so disappointed 🙁 I was hoping it was more static graphic related…… ❤️🇦🇺

Hi, no it won’t replace apps like that. Dreams will be more focused towards animation and motion graphics and not standard video. But let’s wait and see when it drops and exactly how we can use it
