I am a Globalist and was offered the Presidential Suite, one a free night award a saving of 36,000 USD. The Park Hyatt is a Beautiful hotel for me not worth 40,000 points. The staff were not as attentive as I wold have expected for a flagship property. In this review he pointed out things I never saw or experienced so was happy he brought them all out. Enjoy...
Awesome! I shall just add this to my list of "Hotels I want to go to that Brandon Boyd visited" Next stop for us on that tour is The Eliza Jane. Thanks for the review, as always great work!
I don’t know what I would’ve done if I actually saw him. Pretty sure I’d pass out! I definitely know it was her though even though Brandon thought I was crazy.
This is a very lovely review on a property I have to admit it... I am very impatient and this video is so well put together... Obviously you are very intelligent classy man...💎💎💎
Intelligent and classy is debatable :) Honestly, I wanted it put together honest reviews that I would want to see when booking a property. These properties are not cheap and I wanted to make sure that people knew all the ins and outs before deciding to book. I also did a review of the Thompson property literally right across the street. Great area. More property reviews to come and some that aren’t as highly recommended as this one. Thanks for your kind comments. That means a lot. Thanks for your support!
Those moving things are called Bonito flakes. Judging by the sizes on your plate, they were shaved from a full size block. Bonito is a fish that was dried in a hickory or mesquite smoker. It's very common to see it as a topping for dishes in Oceania and Asia. I like it with tofu, sesame seeds and soy/mirin/chili pepper sauce
An excellent review Brandon, I'm arriving with my girlfriend in 2 days and I appreciated all the details you pointed out. I always appreciate the RainShower shower-heads in the large showers and the beds are amazing.... We have stayed in some incredible locations(Best: Park Hyatt Maldives) and this looks like a fabulous hotel.
That’s awesome. Funny you mentioned the Maldives. We just booked Q suites flights there for next year. We have a week booked at the Conrad. However, we are thinking of splitting the trip and doing 5 days at the Conrad and 5 at the Park Hyatt or Alila. Decisions, decisions.
We enjoyed it a lot. We will go back in the near future. Staying at the Thompson right across the street in December. I’ll have a review of that as well. Maybe compare the two.
We loved it. We’ll be staying at the Thompson right across the street from this in December. I’ll have a full review on that as well. I may have to step across the street to this one to go to the bar and also grab some of the fries. They were delicious. Let me know if you end up staying there and also let me know your feedback. Would love to hear it.
The trip getting there was chaos. We just decided to stay an extra day and switch our checkout time. World of Hyatt customer service was very helpful in making that change for us. We missed our show for “The Music Man” because of our delays. Luckily we had insurance on the those particular tickets just in case. We ended up seeing Phantom and Aladdin. Really enjoyed both. Phantom is our favorite. We love NY. I’d like to see more of the state outside Manhattan, but in all honesty, that’s an area I just don’t know that much about. Any suggestions?
those arent't cheese, it's Bonito. It is smoked fish. They are shaved thin, and so the heat will make them look like they move. Bonito is a staple of japanese cuisine.
I had a category 1-7 free night certificate for hitting 60 tier qualifying nights with Hyatt. Then, the rest was from ultimate rewards transferred to Hyatt. We have lots of ultimate rewards earned across many Chase cards. We essentially view those as Hyatt points.
Tremendous review! Def do this for all of your future hotel stays, whether it’s a 5 star property or not! Quick question, since this is a Cat 8 hotel now, do you still think it’s worth the 40k points for an award night?
Easy answer, yes it’s worth it at 40k. Location, food, cocktails, and rooms were nice. Easy access to so much of NYC without being surrounded by endless traffic.
Surprised you didn’t go for the (free) room service breakfast. The in-room dining breakfast menu includes Steak and Eggs and salmon bagels which aren’t in the restaurant menu!
We considered it. The menu was definitely larger. No doubt. We just knew we would get fast service and get in and out in the Living Room. Wanted to maximize our time checking out NYC. Food was very good all around during the whole trip.
I'm curious if you book a Marriott or Hyatt property with points or cash or certificates whatever, do they limit you to two adults per room or can you bring three adults in there as long as there are two beds?
Whatever the max is for any given room you can fill it with adults or children. We may or may not have gotten more people in a room than it slept, but that’s what blow up beds are for.
@@thebrandonboydshow Gotcha. For example let's say I book a reward booking sometime in the future (Ritz, Hyatt, Hilton). But then I haven't decided yet whether I want to take both of my parents or one girlfriend to the hotel. I should still be good and I don't need to give them the names ahead of time of who's actually staying in the hotel right?
It’s really hard to explain. No, it doesn’t taste like it, but it has a slight hint of being in the same room with some prosciutto. I know that totally makes no sense. It’s not a salty drink. Just a really good cocktail. The best way to find out is to try it! It was definitely unique.

I love these reviews! Planning to spend some points and this is helpful.
Awesome. Got many more coming. Hang tight.
This was wonderfully done. I've always wanted to go, but I've read mixed reviews. Glad your experience was so good.
As far as NYC goes it’s our favorite. We are staying at the Thompson Central Park right now. I’ll have a review of that on the channel this month.
Awesome! I shall just add this to my list of "Hotels I want to go to that Brandon Boyd visited" Next stop for us on that tour is The Eliza Jane. Thanks for the review, as always great work!
I’m glad it was helpful. You’ll enjoy the Eliza Jane. Great location. Let me know if/when you head to park Hyatt!
Excellent review. Thank you.
Great review! Loved the Hollywood ending, too. There's just something about those automated curtains that is so cool!
It’s in my DNA to play with the curtain button. It will be continuing theme of my travels.
Great detailed review. Even Hollywood agrees with the cameo.
I’m just assuming that Harry and Olivia showed up so they could be part of the review. They need more exposure.
I don’t know what I would’ve done if I actually saw him. Pretty sure I’d pass out! I definitely know it was her though even though Brandon thought I was crazy.

I was assuming they were edible. I ate it regardless. The dish was delicious.
What a wonderful looking hotel. Thanks for the thorough review!
We had high expectations and our expectations were exceeded. Great property!

That was a pretty low bar to clear.
Wow this looks awesome I live in NYC and I might use some points to stay here for a night Looks like a great experience

Looks like a great place! Thanks for visiting my home state! If I recall you had a pretty hectic trip here! What show(s) did you see?

Peppers ant suppose to move 😆
That’s was my initial thought. I ate it anyway.
