What a wonderful film, the passion for Elstow was so clear and the piece at the end was a lovely acknowledgement of all that Len did for carp fishing. Bravo Sticky Baits 👏🏻

The bloke seems sound but found the way he fishes very backwards not trying to be negative at all but to cast out a marker float, find your spot, cast all your rigs all around it, bring the market rod back in and then bait up 🤷♂️ didn’t make any sense. Surly fishing there for that many year was no need for a marker float in the first place.None the less I still enjoyed the watch. And just my opinion
@@TomRG777 weed beds move on a regular basis day to day sometimes so why would you not use a marker. Especially as drilling rigs and barges had been on the water creating new depressions and spoil. Not to mention carp creating new spots.

What an amazing tribute to the beautiful human being that was Len Gurd. Grateful to have met him a few times in the past when visiting Linear. He even gave me advice as I had not long got into carp fishing. Greatly missed.

My cousin fought a brave battle with MND and Len arranged for him to fish at Linear, Steve, Mark Aycliffe and a few others devoted their time and made their trip unforgettable. After my cousin passed Len then arranged for my Uncle, myself and few others to fish in his memory on the same pegs they did, Steve and Mark again devoted their time and made this trip unforgettable also :) Im so glad to hear your healthy Steve. Me and my Uncle still go carp fishing we absolutely love it, all started from that trip to Linear. Stay safe pal, best wishes

Not the usual ‘Reflections’ standard imo. Found it hard going tbh. That said, for anyone familiar or interested in Elstow it was probably a good watch. Hoping the other chapters will be better.

The Guy Holding the twin is called Nick and it was him and his brother that stocked some fish into pit 2 from the garden Centre, and I'm sure two of the fish he stocked later became the Mother & the twin.

I’m working on the railway behind Elstow and just wondering why there’s not many people fishing it? And why is there only one pit now? One of them is fully drained and I was shocked to see this. I grew up dreaming of fishing this place and it was surreal seeing it but it doesn’t seem to be what it used to be. Great film though. Rest easy Len
The old Pit1 was taken over for waste deposit for HS2 which is massive shame! Pit 2 now contains the stock from both pits and is still fished regularly. If you keep up to date with our social media, Steve Cliff and the other lads catch a few from there regularly. We hope you get chance to fish it some day!

The landfill & housing plans are because our boarders are open to the third world & they keep requiring more space to settle them. It’s ok to fight for what’s yours, our ancestors demand for us to fight for what’s ours as they did. Stop being a coward.
