you are not alone with late peppers, john. even my tomatos could have been better. surprisingly, two runner bean plants excelled themselves. they fes three of us for four weeks and a reasonable bag fullwas frozen. caulis were excellent this year. it's been a " swings and roundabout " year for us all.................brian
I got one pepper and it got “got” 🤦♀️, so next year it is 😂. My cherry tomatoes are coming along quickly but my beefsteak are slow to ripen and some are even too soft but cutting up and freezing works. I take the huge green ones off and wrap in newspaper in the house, just check them regularly John. I know Duncan’s kohlrabi were decimated by something 😢, it’s been a tough year all around. Great job on seed saving too. Have a marvellous week, hope Dahlila is doing well, Ali 🌧️🌞🇨🇦
Dalila Is doing well. She pulled some of her potatoes and the nicest orange golden beetroot I have ever seen. We are thinking about the winter and how much we want to grow over the the winter and how much effort we want to put into the plots while the weather is colder. No firm decisions yet.

Your right about swings and roundabouts. Thankfully getting enough out of it to keep me coming back to the plot each weekend.

@@slappy01uk it is a big deal because it means getting to the allotment in horrible weather.
But I’m glad she is doing well
