Still remember this from the days I was living in NH. I miss the days when the station would sign off for the night. The scenery in the morning prayer makes me want to move back to NH right now, LOL.
I was born in 2001. In 1990, the pace of the city seemed a lot slower before smartphones and constant connectivity. My parents had me quite late, and I always wish I had grown up in Boston in the 1990s.
I wish I could hear the old sign-off of Sy Yanoff one more time, It went something like "This concludes our broadcast day. This is Sy Yanoff signing off.
I remember this sign-off and sign on into the early 90s until 1995 whe it switched to CBS and also converted to 24-hour service as it is now. I'll always remember the sign-on that would occur every morning at 4:54-5 AM and I also remember seeing the sign-off at 1:00 AM

WOW! A morning prayer. Wonder how that would fly today? Sadly I am in the wrong era.
They kept it rather generic, though. "In ____'s name?"
Yes, CBS now owns and operates TV & radio stations that were once under Westinghouse Broadcasting.
This Was Truly A Landmark For WBZ!
thanks for the upload it brings me way back
do you have any of the old central artery?
Very nice.
Is there any chance you have the old song "It's Great To Be Here (On Boston's WB)"? I can't find it anywhere!!
@AnimeGirl23
Sorry, I do not have that tune.
@dxtrfn80 Well They Have Since Then But Only During The Weekends They Would Sign Off for about a half hour or an hour.
Ah! the good old days when you could hear the National Anthem every night.
