Just ordered a bottle on sale for 35 euro, normally it is 39.95. I have no clue why it is double or even tripple the price outside of western europe but i am not complaining 😃
Scotch has a massive premium on it in the US. Scotch overall has seen a 10-25% increase in cost in the last few years here. Same with Irish (and worse for super premium- up to 50% increase). I've been buying a lot more bourbons, ryes, and American single malts for those reasons.
Hm okay well that sucks. Who is charging the premium? The shops, importer, exporter or..? Nothing wrong with Bourbons, love them. I drink more Bourbons than scotch myself@@TheBarleyLads
There were significant tariffs on Scotch under the previous president. But now, shipping, packaging and raw material prices are much higher than they were 3-5 years ago. So Scotch (and US Scotch consumers) can't catch a break lol.
