I enjoy everything about this performance. It is dynamic, high energy, powerful, and there is good musicianship. Billy idol is a great performer, who I've enjoyed watching since the 1980's. He reminds me of a punk rocker with attitude, combined with the glitz and glamour of the 1980's. His facial expressions remind me of Elvis, especially in the way he curls his lips when he sings. This song is named after a type of whiskey, but the lyrics are about something else. The lyrics aren't the greatest, but I think Billy Idol made a good song out of them. As this song is a bit racy, I was surprised to see it on your channel, but I enjoyed it. I think it's great you are reacting to different types of music.
I saw Billy on the Rebel Yell tour and it was excellent! Dez Dickerson, a guitar player from Prince’s 1999 band, opened the show. So cool! Also, this video was filmed at Warner Theater, in Washington D.C., as I understand it. That’s where I saw the Rebel Yell tour. Some of my friends got to attend that video filming and I can see their faces in the crowd! Kinda cool! Ah, I saw so many excellent shows at Warner and other spots around D.C. back in the day!
I actively avoided any and all rock, metal, and punk music growing up opting for hip-hop and R&B. It took my daughter going through her emo phases before I gave any of this music a chance and omg have I been missing out! Billy Idol is one of my favorites and this song as well as "Eyes Without a Face" are my go-to songs from him! Subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see your reactions to more classic hits!!
Wow, nice to have you here will add your suggestion to my list, I love watching and learning to these classics and more reactions definitely coming 🙏☺️
I'm glad to see more people finding and liking Billy's music. i got to see him first time back 2022, i went all out and had first row and he was amazing! i grew up listening to him since i was 5 years old. His music is amazing and different rock/punk from that era; early 80's etc. they play 2 songs of his in the old big film and show that music video in it tooo. He was our elvis for the 80's. if you get the chance please check out these tracks from him: Eyes wihtout a face, flesh for fantasy, to be a lover, dancing with myself, hot in the city, white wedding, cradle of love and from a newer album Can't break me down and also from that album I don't want to lose you.
Steve Stevens kills it on the guitar😎
That quick machine gun riff at the crowd blows Ya down. Nobody else does that.
