  • This has been on our bucket list for THE LONGEST TIME.
Nick actually got this as a present for his birthday in September 2021 but with all thats been going on in the world, we weren't able to go up for 6 months! It's safe to say the anticipation made the experience even better.
The morning started with a 4am wake up driving from our home in Newcastle to the Hunter Valley, we arrived at Peterson House for a briefing and hopped onto a shuttle bus to the launch location. We got to see the sun rise as the balloons blew up around us which was just magic.
It was time to hop into the balloon and weather conditions were perfect, we floated above the vines seeing plenty of kangaroos hopping around.
We had a smooth landing and just when you think the experience is over, ,you get to walk INSIDE the balloon and also help to pack it up (I promise, that part is fun).
We hop in the shuttle once more and arrive back at Peterson House for a Sparkling breakfast, the perfect way to end one of THE BEST experiences we have ever been on.
After breakfast, we couldn't resist a visit to our FAVOURITE chocolate shop/cafe, Cocoanib.

It’s a must do. We were a little sceptical how much value for money it would be but honestly, was just amazing. Well worth it

Is it normal for so many balloons to take off at the same time. I did go to a special event a while back when around 20 balloons went up at once. Looks like fun.... a good morning out.

We had one flight cancelled due to poor conditions and that day there were only 2 balloons. We were really surprised to see so many this time but it wasn’t a special event or anything, just a Saturday. Was beautiful having so many balloons, made the experience better for sure.

I went there and I woke up at 1 am and drove there for 2 hours. We went for a toilet stop at McDonald’s too.

We used the go pro hero 7 for everything. Not the best in low light but did the job!

One of those burners would be good doing real authentic wok stir fries.

How did you step into balloon? Did you have to jump? I have small legs haha

There are little foot holds in the side of the basket so you use them to climb in over the sides. I’m quite short too and had no trouble getting in. It’s so much fun!
