You can walk back to the beginning of the level any time you want, which lets you choose the 400 coin Ascension room and go back when you have the coins
@@wanderbots don't rely on this on future tests, devs have said they wanna remove the option to backtrack so much as it can be just "optimising the fun out of the game" (and I'd agree with them, not fun to traverse a full map back to get an item or buy something you couldn't afford)
Note: It's not that your first cast is reduced by two, it's that whatever you cast has a minus two discount applied to it after. I am unsure how exactly it works, but you weren't cheated. Side Note: I wonder if there's a synergy relic (if those exist) between the two halfcharms.
Ive been playing the pre-alpha test myself, done a whole buncha runs (2 victories so far) Its already SO solid, im really excited for the full release 😁 it mostly looks like its just a bit of fleshing some small things out, maybe slight class/number balance? plus whatever the additional classes outside of the 3 in the demo

Taking the hp stacking relic early would have been great since it has a lot of time to stack up, especially with the damage reduction relic effectively doubling max hp gains. But you couldn't have predicted finding that particular item.
I hope online means online coop with your friends and not an always online mmo kind of game that would be a pretty quick way to kill a really interesting looking game.
Hate to be that girl, but a game based around meta currencies and a battle pass, a roguelike don't make. I'm disappointed in Shiny Shoe taking this route on such a promising game.
The meta-currency they have said they will work on so I won’t be too scared about it.The battle pass will be cosmetics only as they said.Unless you are really that paranoid that any game with a battle pass needs to go that route when games like Deep Rock Galactic exists that has a battle pass which doesn’t actually actively sabotage themselves.
Yeah DRG does it well but I still think they could've done that better by not being a BP. But that's the best example of a BP most are just money grabbing crap that plagues every game they're in and I have no reason to believe this game is going to be any better. It has single handedly made me hold off from buying it and I'll wait and see just much damage it's going to do.
@@Fuzzleberry In other words, paranoia.I’m not saying it can’t destroy itself but it has given similarly no reason to doubt it will and also are you really that irrationally bothered by any micro transactions whether they are cosmetics or not? This comment is just made out of distrust that just stems out of every single other place except the info provided by the devs themselves and if you want to distrust the dev’s words that they are not going to add anything gameplay-related then please provide a valid reason why except whataboutism.
@everything bagel Just because something is cosmetic doesn't mean content being sectioned off into an abstracted subscription model isn't annoying or possibly even predatory (time will tell) . I'm happy to keep buying content expansions for games I love that include both gameplay and cosmetic additions but if a game has a monetisation model designed around FOMO then I'm not going to play them. It doesn't take much empathy to understand how monetisation can affect players in a negative way even if it doesn't personally affect you.
I play almost all games with BP and Dailys and I strongly believe the concept is almost destroying the industry because it's an aggressive way to affiliate a client that is tiring the player base and sort of training people to spend more time on the media than they should. That said, there are already examples of those practices that are completely irrelevant and that are just a bonus to partake. It's simply something that has to be done the right way and that should be judged when is released. For what I could tell by the test, their whole system seems completely optional.
From what I can tell, the season pass is cosmetic only. Also, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing somebody else's playthrough where towards the end of the game, they picked up something that gave them the ability of making enemies drop the "meta currency".
I'm so glad for this game, loved monster train and can see the devs have improved their art design alot

Chelle carefully gets out of cannons attack range, wanderbot: and I took that personally.

Real neat game! It's entertaining to see party play in a roguelike, and the customization in the relics and abilities are very neat!

I love multiplayer roguelikes
Would definitely watch a playthrough of this and probably play it myself too
I love shells intro it helps me get games for me and my girl to play together
same, is a shame to see him always cutting her short

The health bar shows the damage you will take from where you are standing. its kinda greyed out.
If Chelle is not a fulltime voice actor then she better be soon, that is all I can say.
I love when chelle joinssss
is there a correct way of inhaling water?
i think that is called a sauna
Drowning
Some might say it is ink-credible

Why does this look kind of mobile-y and low framerate?

It's a shame they already have buttons for paid season passes and microtransactions in the game. Hard pass.
