Camino de Santiago| Blisters starting to appear on walk Roncesvalles to Zubiri | Ep 5

After an amazing night in Roncesvalles and an early start to the day, up we go and head towards Zubiri. We made the fatal mistake of not stopping at the first cafe that we saw and then found that the next food stop was 4km further! No matter, with a bounce in our step we made hast to the next cafe where some amazing food (the kids ate vegetables in the morning!) waited.
That bounce in Louise's step soon became a little more gently placed as the hotspots of blisters started to appear across her feet. Someone had to be first to get them!
On arriving at Zubiri we managed to bag ourselves an amazing 4 person room with a balcony at the Rio Arga Hostel (www.albergueri...) overlooking the river...what a start to the Camino!

So true and very tempting! There was even a taxi waiting outside of one of the towns today easy to take weary Peregrinos to their destination.

Thank you...we generally spent anything from 12 Euros pppn to 100 Euros for an AirBnB stay for four of us. Booking.com was also our friend during the Camino for some of our stays and we used the John Brierley book for recommendations for Albergue'. Hope this helps?

Hey Richard, many thanks for taking the time to let us know that you are enjoying the videos (hopefully we are getting a little better the more we do 🤣) We use a Sony ZV-1, appreciate that it is a Vlogging camera but we have had good results from it and also we have added the Sony tripod to help with holding it on the move etc. www.amazon.com/Sony-Content-Creators-Vlogging-Microphone/dp/B08965JV8D. This was one of my least favourite days - I would gladly walk uphill all day rather than do that brutal 4 km steep downhill gradient over the jagged rock layers into Zubiri. I am so glad I brought my knee braces along and had a great walking staff to help. "Walking from meal to meal" - exactly!!!

We think that the Beetle filmed shortly afterwards snuggled with those stones though 😲
