Sage words from a seasoned artist. This applies to all of life too, where we direct our story every day we’re alive.

How in the world can you have 92K subscribers and only 368 views a day after posting this? Wild, lol I really enjoy your content and just want you to know that your voice is being heard and the effort is worth it. Thank you for sharing your perspective!

Thanks! I gave up long ago asking how youtube works and just make my content. It's the pathway to peace :)

I really appreciate this kind of content and it’s honestly given opinions but I’m not sure what the point is. I dont agree with aping another directors style but who seriously would. Those films are formulaic and don’t require an auteur but rather a perfunctory technician to get the job done. However if you are saying being yourself is enough then I would seriously disagree. The shocking films made by supposedly great directors shows the levels of self delusion inherent in the job description. Sure the director represents a cohesive viewpoint or opinion but it doesn’t make it right by virtue of the fact that it is genuinely held. Film is a medium of communication and as such coherence reigns supreme over intentionality. That’s where language of film and the semiotics of narrative become the tools to get from a to b with some level of style and elegance of thought and construction. Thanks so much for this thoughtful approach to film.
