Heyy! I am thinking of studying in Shanghai for a Semester. Is it also easy to find vegan Options is the Restaurants or Food stalls aren't even vegetarian? I also don't know any chinese so it would be hard for me to explain:/
Shanghai has BOATLOADS of vegan/vegetarian options! It's one of the easiest cities to find places to eat. Also, there is English everywhere in the city and a huge expat population. For those instances that someone doesn't understand English, just make sure you have a VPN app on your phone and Google Translate downloaded before you go. The app makes it so much easier to communicate. Have fun if you go! Shanghai is one of my favorite cities in China!
