  • Warning:⚠️ Please be cautious of your headphone levels and gain on mixer and other equipment when attempting this. I am not a trained professinal and I have cautiously approached adding the tank to the mixer(gain staging, eq, etc)
Aux 1 to- /guitar amp input to - /headphones out - /to reverb tank in - / reverb tank out -/ into mixer channel/fx return
For the price of some of the reverbs on the market I have decided to try to experiment with a Accutronics 2-spring Long tank ( gifted to me by a great reggae musician and guitar player , Allen. Thank you !) for the dub mixing. There are a ton of different small guitar amps and different spring tanks. These are just what I have happened to get my hands on and are lying around. Gain staging is essential and protecting your ears from sudden loud noises stemming from improper connections. WHEN TANK IS CONNECTED 👀☠️ becareful of the springs themselves. If you want to touch them to produce sound it Is A VERY LIGHT TOUCH, almost like a gentle pass of the finger . If you press your finger in too hard or straight bash the springs it’s going to make the input levels on your fx return go haywire and possibly damage some stuff, including the tank! Thanks for watching and best of luck !

    Hey Man just a thought,
If you can, put a re-amp box in between the
    mixer and the amp.
The mixer sends out line level and your amp takes
    instrument level signal.
This little box will convert them to work better.
Its got something to do with the impedance differences
but will get you the best signal from mixer to fx that
    only take instrument level.
Big Up on the video and spreading Knowledge!

Yo this is huge! Big thanks for laying down some knowledge aswell! Greatly appreciated . I am going to have to look into a re -amp box definitely. At first I thought “oh man but the tascam has a selector between line and instrument, but it’s from the aux out put in between the amp! Straight 🔥! Something like a radial I am thinking ! Respect 🫡

I wasnt happy for years with the sound I was getting from guitar pedals, then I found out about these boxes and it changed everything! @@Tomalo-Dub

I feel that! Its almost a crime these tanks that are $30 or so can sound just as good or close enough to way more expensive pedals and racks that they try to sell from $300 + @BigEarsSounds

Interesting! Have you considered a separate driver? As the amp seems a little cumbersome.

The amp definitely can be cumbersome! I believe a headphone amplifier is smaller and can help drive the tank aswell!

@@Tomalo-Dub cool! The sound and 'live' feel of a real spring is something special. Cheers from BCN.
