I have the beach wave pro and tried the chi lava curler just now and the lava curler will never work for my thick hair. It ripped my hair out and tangled but the beach wave pro I’ve used religiously for years.
The CHI Lava looks like a tool designed specifically for professional use (meaning for using on a client an not yourself). Sometimes professional tools look/are dangerous to use because the designer doesn't expect regular people buying them.

I love this curler concept your soooo good at it. My biggest struggle is getting my hair in the right place for it to catch and do the full thing. My hair is also longer then yours. But I like that this curler is for medium to long hair. This could not be used for short hair.

I think the CHI Spin n Curl is really easy to used and it gives you beautiful curls. but after seeing the comparison between this one and the CHI Lava Shot, i think I go with the CHI Lava. The curls look so beautiful and they hold better i think this tool will work so good with my hair couse my hair is so straight. With the curl and spin: once you have a section of hair in it, do you press the button for the direction you want your curl and hold it or can you just press and release the button?
Very interesting. But the CHI Lava seems very long to use... I think you should try the GHD Oracle : it makes really beautiful curls and it has a system with air to lower the temperature of the curl and fix it (I have it). But it seems way easier (you use it like a straightener) and faster to use than this CHI Lava. It would be interesting to compare the two.
wonder how the curls would come out if you did the chi spin twice in a row 🤔 Come to think of it do you think your dominant hand plays a role in how well the curls come out? I’m right handed and when I paint my left fingernails they come out great but when I use my left hand to paint my right fingernails they come out pretty terrible 😂 just a thought

On your other video with the spin an curl an the one from wish you didn't say anything about the spin an curl curls being loose or falling out so people buy it then you do this one an suddenly the spin an curl is not so great an everyone should run out an get this new one which honestly is very awkward an time consuming,40 mins holding that heavy bulky curler is a work out an it does look awesome but they loosened up quite a bit too. Guess I need to see more videos to know if you ever give a not so good review to the new hot item you at selling.

I own the chi spin and curl and absolutely love it. I have baby fine hair and it helps me have a full hair look.

@L yes I had it hold up well. I used chi hairspray on each strand before curling and that helped.
In my opinion, they're too different to compare to each other. They're both very pretty though

The Spin n Curl might be good for people with arthritis and/or nerve problems in their hands and arms. That’s why I’m going to try it 😊

Both sides are beautiful 🤩 oh my! I like the chi lava curl shot if I have to choose from the two but overall they both did amazing job in my opinion.

I like the loose curls better and more natural.
Adding moisture is very important! I did mine as is without adding anything and it tangled my hair badly.
