- Welcome to my channel!
After the Blue Wave beads, several of you have asked how to make the snail shape. I think if I show it, I should actually show it so this class is how to form the snail shape two ways. We will them make one of them a rin.
Hope you enjoy!
Hugs, D

These would be cute purse charms.
I really enjoyed the sound effects while you were twisting. LOL. Thank you for this amazing tutorial!
Brilliant! I am so glad I am not the only one to glue myself to things!😅 Love those snails x
I like the full because the color is on all sides and it is more round in shape. I suppose if you are going to fix the half snail down onto something permanently, then the half would work very well. I love love both. ❤
Cute snails! Thanks for the video, Donna! That was a fun one! And thanks for making me laugh! 😂 P.S. Be careful with that super glue! 😬
you are so welcome! i will be more careful with that glue, definitely, dianna marie! now, today I am asking for you guys to subscribe if you like the content. it helps my channel and me (not exactly sure how but everyone asks so i will, too). thanks so much, hugs, d
Being French, i also like my snails with a garlic and parsley butter sauce 😉 (or do i?) but i must say that those regal snails will look better on my fingers than in a pot.😂
Humm I didn’t know people ate snails
What do you mean by the "or do i?"?
escargot, sharon. i've had them and the best part for me was the garlic butter! I don't need to eat them again...hugs!
lol!
i don't remember!
Thank you Donna, I ❤ the 🐌🐌🐌🐌
you are so welcome, patricia! so today is my ask to subscribe day! it's the first one. anyway, i hope you will subscribe to my channel, it helps me quite a bit and i think it spreads the tutes, too. i'd appreciate it very much. thank you! d
THANK YOU DONNA!!! These are BEAUTIFUL!
you are so welcome, please make shell rings! now, might i ask a favor of you, today is my asking day. would you mind subscribing to my channel? it's free and it helps me and the channel. i'm not sure exactly how but everyone asks so I will , too! thanks in advance and keep watching for more polymer clay tutes! hugs d
That was very enjoyable, AND I learned a little about your awesome technique. What is this "classroom" you are referring to (because I am really interested in the elaborate version of the snail you showed).
Hello! I have a classroom on youtube! If you'd like to check it out, here's the link: th-cam.com/channels/eRlb3K2k-_b1QAGYDuW1IQ.htmljoin
Now, you get the same thing regardless of level - you pick!

Love it! Thank you, Donna. What a fun lesson❤
make lots! hugs, d
OK, Ditto, here comes your REAL BOX!!!!! We will all help your MOM get you one!!!! LOL!!!!
Seriously, Donna, the snail rings are sooooo fun!!!! THANKS! 🥰😸❤
Isn't that funny? A Tape square on the floor...haha Hugs!
I happen to be working on the perfect place for a snail or two. on the fantasy children's door name plates I'm making with overgrown forests.
oh, boy, they'll be wonderful! yay! i turned some into tassel tops and now i need to find places to hang them...now, today i am asking favors from you guys. yup, it's today. would you mind subscribing to my channel? in some way it helps the channel and therefore. me. how? i'm actually not sure but it can't hurt, right? so thanks in advance, you guys are great. hugs, d
Wow, these are so beautiful! Thank you for all your amazingly creative and instructive videos and for sharing your knowledge and techniques. I’ve been binge-watching and have learned so much from you.
thank you, nadine, i really appreciate your kind words. i do have a favor to ask of you, it's not a big one! would yu mind, subscribing to my channel? it helps the channel and me! thanks in advance, I'd appreciate it very much. hugs, d
So glad you are showing us snails. I was wondering how you did them. Thank you so much Donna
You are delightful, Donna! I absolutely love this project. I can't wait to try it out!
you will love it and just think of all the ways you can embellish those shells. the possibilities! now, can i ask a favor of you, would you mind subscribing to my channel? it would help me so much and it's free. let's spread pc as far and wide as we can subbing helps do that for me but also for our medium so any channel you like would appreciate it, too. thanks! hugs, d
I adore your very "art teacher" vibe. Thanks for sharing your art with us! 💜
thank you thank you thankyou for hearing us all when we asked for the tutorial, you are so kind. The snail shells are spectacular, I also liked the half shells where the base colour was exposYou made me lause when you gave yourself a floofy finger hahahahaha
thank you, doreen! i did get a floofy finger, it was so strange how fast it stuck to me! my fingerprint is not the same. i was happy to do the snails for you guys! now, i have a little favor to ask of you on this fine sunday! would you subscribe to my channel? it helps me, i'm not sure exactly how but i have assumptions - tutes shared more, greater reach, that good stuff. so, i'm asking today. thanks in advance! hugs, d

Golden hands 👐 😊
unless i get glued to something! but thank you very much, make snail rings! i do have a favor to ask, would you mind subscribing to my channel. it helps, not sure how but everyone asks so i will too, just today. thanks in advance, i would really appreciate it. hugs, d!
Thank you Donna for this wonderful tutorial ❤
they are cute, aren't they and you can do any surface treatment and make shell rings! I love them. Hugs, D
I'm going to use this technique to make drawer pulls for a jewelry armoire that has a couple of broken handles. ~~~^..^
Excellent ideal. I like that very much!
Oh Donna! I love these. Can you share where you get the stretchy cord and what size please?
colleen, that's buna cord, it's rubber cord not elastic. i bet amazon has it. now it's 3mm or 4mm OD (outer diameter) not ID (inner diameter). either diameter is fine for rings, i'd opt for 3mm, easier to drill, i think. , hugs d
~~~^..^ Unasked for advice: Try coiling in the opposite direction as the twist for a more tradional shell pattern. The swirl lines will be more vertical. You're welcome. I can't wait to try adding the cord! Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! ^..^~~~
thanks for the tip! i will definitely give that a go. now, can i ask you a favor? please subscribe to my channel. it helps spread the tutes and maybe we get more pc enthusiasts or newbies (that's a goal of mine). i'd really appreciate it. big hugs, d
@DonnaKatoArt Done! Been watching more, loving it! You are a fantastic instructor who gets my brain cells firing!!! Thank you for sharing on TH-cam ~~~^..^
Love it Donna, perfect! Thanks!
make lots of shell rings, please. they'd be good napkin rings, too! now, i have a favor to ask, Beverly! would you mind subscribing to my channel? it helps the channel (not sure how) and helps me (not sure how). anyway, people always ask so i will, too. thanks in advance, you guys are the greatest. hugs, d
Oh boy! I truly enjoyed your class and the cool snail art. Love your personality! Will be anticipating upcoming classes by you😊.
thank you so much, i appreciate your kind comments! may i ask a favor of you, would you mind subscribing to my channel? it really helps me and helps spread pc to others. with luck we get more enthusiasts and newbies. we need newbies! anyway, thanks in advance. big hugs, d
@@DonnaKatoArt I will double-check, as I believe I dod subscribe when I watched your snail video.🙂 Stay crafty❣️
I've been planning to make a beach scene beaded curtain for decades, and wanted to have some shells! What would you think of hollowing out the bottom of the spiral, and putting in a pearlescent interior?
esther, that'd be lovely. let me think about how that could easily be done. might be best to begin with a clay cone then could the half piece around? hollowing out could be hard to do. let me think.
i do have a favor to ask of yu, though. would you mind subscribing to my channel? it'd help the channel and me somehow. anyway, i'm asking today! thanks in advance, hugs, d
@@DonnaKatoArt But I am subscribed? I can't Join to be a member though, that costs money and I'm poor. I wasn't thinking that the shell needed to be hollow all the way around, just enough to make it look shelly without making it hard to string onto a curtain.
Its magic mega Form thank for dis
It's my pleasure so glad you enjoyed it and hope you'll subscribe to my channel. it'd be much appreciated! hugs, d
Thank you Donna, you’re super😊
my pleasure, roberta! hugs, d
Hi Donna - I love this tutorial, I'm pretty new to polymer clay designs and I have so much to learn! You are a wonderful teacher. I bought a black and decker toaster oven but the first try, I burned the clay. Do you use a regular oven or a toaster oven. Any tips?
Hi Terry I am not sure what country you hail from. I use a portable oven purchased from Kmart Australia. Perfect for my Clay. Good luck
Hi Terry, Welcome! Okay, toaster ovens are hard because the temp fluctuates so much. Nowadays you can use your regular oven, there's no issue, anymore. I have a Black and Decker convection oven close by so I use that but I have used my regular oven when I have lots of curing to do. Hugs, D
It can be important to keep a thermometer in your oven to monitor the actual temperature rather than the dial setting, I'm hoping that burying my pieces in baking soda will protect them from burning.
Krásné moc krásné 👌👌👌👌
That is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
thank you, renee, more to come! would you mind subscribing to my channel. i don't ask much but i think it helps my channel and me. anywho, today is my ask day so there you go. thanks in advance! big hugs, d
