In my opinion 1983 was the best year of the 80s decade for music. The U.S. charts were full of international artists. New wave, R&B, the last gasp of disco and rock n roll...and the beginning of 80s heavy metal. Something for everyone.

I saw George in this very venue four years after this show when I spent a week at the Montreux Jazz Festival -- one of the greatest weeks of my life!! In one week on this stage I saw George, Lee Ritenour, Pat Metheny with Max Roach and Herbie Hancock, Van Morrison, some international big stars who I had never heard of and many others. And the following week that I did not attend included Miles Davis who would be gone within a couple years -- this venue is now named the Miles Davis Auditorium.
