I can appreciate your take......I get that. And at the same time I would encourage you to research the bizarre headlines from that very evening. NPR. CNN ABC. etc. If you really get to see them, they are so disturbing and full of blatant misinformation.....anyone would be accurate and justified bt labeling them 'fake news'. As much as that term has been exploited, those headlines are nothing but fake news. Saying he fell, injured, etc. Omitting the term assassination for as long as possible.

We still refer to people by their highest achieved titles. We still say President Obama, Bush, etc. Hillary Clinton was referred to as Secretary Clinton during the 2016 debates, even though it had been years since she was the Secretary of State. President Eisenhower asked to be referred to as General Eisenhower after his presidency, even though he was no longer a president or general.
