Starting off the New Year just right! Happy New Year 2024! I already love how Earthrock Trilobyte’s stage is much longer and is an actual real stage now, and they did a great job with that Mechanaloid Boss having you encounter another one deep underground and the Earthrock Trilobyte emerging from his Crystals is just really well animated!
This is simply awsome, the love, dedication and quickness that allison da paz put in this job is incredible. The game is praticly 80% done, just the final stages left, in the half of next year we will probably being playing and loving that job. This is the best gift of end of year ever!! By the way, all this job was made by an brazilian, which makes me proud of being one too.
VERY NICE. Seeing Booster forest done this way made the stage make even more sense. I really like what you did for the Metal Valley stage as well. This is shaping up to be a GREAT project. Looking forward to more! Happy New Year Papu!

You know what really needs a demake? X7 really needs it since it tried to force the X series into 3D and it didn’t work out too well, they even had to add locking on to enemies and eliminates the challenge of jumping, aiming and shooting like how all Megaman games play, the more I think about it, the more there was no reason to make it X7 3D since the Legends series already existed as the 3D branch of Megaman, imagine if we got Legends 3 on PS2 instead. But I can respect Capcom for trying even if it didn’t work.
You know, I'm not liking the aesthetics of this game, it has three different types of sprites, those that match the artistic style of the originals, those that look much better than the original, occupying more vivid shapes and colors, and those that are between these 2. I hope they manage to find a consistent style between sprites. but I like the new level design and the increased difficulty. Also the rank system in sunflower stage is sick
I'm gonna be honest, when I saw the first release for this fan game I was 90% certain it wasn't gonna go very far. It was gonna stop mid development or at least be updated very rarely ( maybe that's just because of how long people have been waiting for mmx corrupted ), but anyway, this surprised me. Development on this seems to be going really steady and I'm amazed that there are like 2 main stages left (not counting orbital elevator or sigma stages of course)
I thought the same, did not bother to put any high expectations on having this completed soon, then they drop it almost finished a few months ago, that's impressive
I enjoy the trilobite stage, just some feedback. I love the fact that you made the entire stage revolve around mining! I feel that that could be amplified more by adding an elevator section with enemies to flesh out the feeling of truly being underground rather than some sections of the stage. The Flower stage could use a similar system that was used in X4 on Cyber Peacock stage to be a throwback. I feel using that or some stage layouts from that stage would be appreciated! Panda Stage imo needs more plantation and throughout the stage and perhaps more birds in the background. I've been waiting so long to see progress on this and this is awesome! I can't wait to see more! Keep up the awesome work! I'll be waiting for more news!
En mi opinion , sera demo nueva pero lo que no me gusto y lo encontre generico , el nivel de sunflower no se entiende porque no coloco los transportadores con el ascensor , se da como resultado un nivel que se avanza con pocos enemigos , lo mismo el de trilobyte , en vez de regresar hacia atras como el original sigue hacia adelante y un nivel raro con pocos enemigos , el ataque de bamboo pandamonium es totalmente distinto al original , es solo un golpe directo potenciado y no hacen ese efecto morado cuando estan en modo de desesperacion

If Megaman 9 is anything to go by I’d say an original X9 that returned the 16-bit sprites would’ve done well since Capcom could’ve cashed in on even more nostalgia with a 16-bit X9.
This looks quite amazing for me, although I feel that the boss dialogues are too simplistic. I've never played MMX8 so I wouldn't know if they are originally like that. Nevertheless, the giant mini boss in trilobite stage needed a bigger explosion, like when destroying the giant mech at the opening stage of MMX2 (a lot of explosions, white screen with the silhouette and stuff). Also, damage animations for the bosses, especially when receiving charged buster dmg Besides that, looks really good 🎉
one thing the de-make forgot or omitted here is that ride armors, once operated, don't sustain damage from ordinary enemy bullets and can just trample on smaller ones like tin cans
This game looks amazing. I, of course, noticed the charged Optic Sunflower weapon to be the sound effect of the laser firing from Sonic and Knuckles. I also like how there aren’t rare metals. I did find those all that useful in the real game. The only thing I’d also like to see is 16 bit versions of the songs.
This looks pretty darn cool. I recently revisited X8 sometime last year because I always thought it was a neat game compared to X7. And boy was it janky as hell. Character hitboxes are so weird and the 2.5 D was just a little too jarring. Some games nowadays found a nice balance but X8 was practically when folks were experimenting with 2.5 D so I can forgive that. But again, I cannot stress how janky X8 felt. Characters gravity felt really heavy, enemy placement was swarming everywhere randomly, enemy respawn was instant as soon as they go off screen, hard mode was super hard because of weird hurtboxes, massive dmg & lots of pitfalls and spikes for some reason. X8 kinda really liked spikes and pitfalls. Then there's normal mode, it was just easy. Too easy. Being older now, I just don't have the patience or time to grind stages like I used to. I mean I could, but moving at the pace of a turtle just wasn't a fun experience for playing hard mode. Bosses were more fun to fight on hard mode. It was just getting there was a nightmare in some stages. Maybe my reaction time has just deteriorated after not gaming basically 24/7 like I used to. Anywho jeez, I was gonna compliment this demake and before I knew it I was knee deep in ripping X8 a new asshole. Lol, now we just need someone to successfully rescue Volnut off the moon.
Hi, 1 question: is there NO bonus for completing triple S-rank in Optic Sunflower's stage? There's clearly an additional boss gate there that MUST do SOMETHING. The Cut Man fight, maybe? I hate to think I just wasted an hour and a half for a challenge that rewarded me with NOTHING.
I have complaints regarding some of the stuff; -first of all, the lack of Zero & Axl, as it was part of the draw of the original X8, alongside the Navigators as playable characters, it would be neat to have them playable. -Trylobyte's stage Is overall improved, but the out of control robot being destroyed at the begining kind of takes away impact from that, as the stage's original premise is hunting down the out of control mechanoloid. -Bamboo pandamonium stage is just kind of the same, but maybe you'd like to make adjustments so it would be easier to take the ride armor at the begining all the way to the boss, since it was possible in the original. -the new Crystal wall weapon is cool, but i feel like it did not need changing from the original. plus the Charge shot feels weak by comparasion now, Maybe you'd want to swap the charge version and the normal fire version, plus this could make hunting for burried treasure easier, since it was the weapon's original purpose. -Shining ray on the original was weaker because of the lack of verticality on stages, and its startup lag leaving you vulnerable. but now you have added more verticality to them with the improved Trylobite stage, so why change it? keep the charge shot however, thats cool as balls.

Pandamonium's desperation attack is really cool. I like how it's an interactive phase so you can multitask if you're feeling gutsy.
