I've got the same campervan. Heater works fine but a big plus was to isolate everything under the main bed in the back. I've placed isolation on the floor and over the isolation i've placed carpet. If you are thinking to go on a trip this helps a lot with the colder times! :-)
Thanks, finally I know what that weird alternate setting on the fan controller is ment for :D. If you make videos of good maintenance and repairs to it, that would be much appreciated
my one of these just packed in, parts are hard to find, thinking of swappign for a smaller disel heater its cold march time norway, its 3 degree out now but thankfully the snow has melted, using candles instead for now zomg fml
the big benefit of this type of heater is when you get to temp you can turn off the fan so not using 12v and at a lower setting it keep the van nice and warm
How is it on gas guzzling? We're renovating a hymer 694 that's been gutted so looking for a fuel efficient heating system. In our C524 the gas air heating system uses too much gas for it to be on for very long.
Yup. It does love the gas. A lot of people are moving to eberspacher heaters. These run on diesel and can pump out the heat. They basically blow out hot air so should be easy to integrate into the camper. There are chinese copies available for not a lot of money and are highly rated. Have been toying with this idea for a while. While the gas heater works I will keep on using it for now.
I have never had it on all night. But I know some people who use it on a low setting and seems to work for them. It can restart itself if the pilot light goes out. Hope this helps 👍
Guess this is a stupid question: but if I understand it correctly it only works with liquid-gas to ignite and keep it going - not with electricity power? I’ve just bought a caravan with this heater in it. But my wife is quit nervous about liquid-gas 🤪
Ours has an electric igniter. Once lit it will burn the gas in the same way as a gas hob would. The gas is only liquid in the bottle, the gas regulator allows the gas to come out at the pressure of the regulator - 50mbar in my case. Modern gas systems are 30mbar.

Thanks. Glad it's useful. Will try and make some maintenance vids. Always like a challenge 👍
Many thanks for the video. I have a 1989 b694 and one of the many jobs I need to do is to get the heating working.
hey man, great channel and content. Very useful information for retro motorhome owners. Subscribed!

Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the vid 👍
How do you turn it off?
Lol that's my problem ATM lol
Hi. My friend has the same heater. It stays lit for 2 or 3 minutes then cuts out. Any suggestions? Thanks
Best thing to do is to get it serviced.
Can that heater run all night and if it shuts down does it restart its self?
I have never had it on all night. But I know some people who use it on a low setting and seems to work for them.

Never leave a gas heater on when your asleep . I have known people that have died because of it
