After almost 20 years of waiting we got muzzle flashes in Quake 2.
This game used to scare me shitless when I was a kid but I still played it. Gotta admit the weapon design, watching this after 20 years, they hit with some strange nostalgia

The b*stard key sellers tripled Quake 2 key prices once they heard it was getting a free re-master. Act quick and you'll get the Quake collection for about the same price as Quake 2. (The collection is Quake 1 to Quake 4 with expansions including Quake arena.)
Good to see they sped up the weapon swap.
I love the Q3A style switch weapons implementation. It's just perfect.

Here’s an idea for a future video, since Quake Champion has all the weapons from all the Quake games, you should compare them between games.
Quake 2 rocket launcher is just the worst in the series.
The Q2 railgun is one of the most satisfying and best designed FPS weapons ever. It looks and sounds awesome. Too bad it didn't have that spiral trail in Q3.

How to you get them all in one game?! From what i know some of these weapons are from reckoning campaign and some are from ground zero, how to you get them all at once like this?!

It's only in Ground Zero, you can find it in a secret level in 1st unit or later in the 3rd unit

This Railgun from Quake 2 is better than some "Railgun" from a certain short brown haired flat midget from a certain Chinese cartoon who pretends to be a girl.
Wow...i cannot believe how sloppily this is made! Not only it uses the same hideous SFX and VFX,
but the SSG reload sound is not synchronized with the hand motion and Phalanx missiles fly from
the center of the screen and not from the weapon's barrel. Machine gun on "easy mode" and still
no shell casings. Not to mention the worst carelessly-made muzzle flashes ever. Shame...shame....
Still better than CoD.
