Based on how he wired the meter socket the meter will not register if it's a digital or if it's an analog, the meter will reverse because it's an incorrect polarity
Have you ever wire a 120 meter?
Could the line be on the left and the neutral on the right? Or its strictly neutral on the left and the line on the right?
Base on the the meter its don't matter but if its 240v single phase bout line as to go through the matter.
