My Mom and Dad just got the CX9, it is amazing! Me and my sister Love It!
Recently had a CX-5 as a rental and it one quick midsize SUV, I was very surprised!
I just don’t care for the soft brakes, heavy steering, click wheel infotainment and cup holder placement.
But that brake hold function, albeit simple convenience, it’s a real life saver against driver fatigue.
Soft breaks are very true
The brakes are progressive. I like them. The steering feels real, l like it, the the mouse is Greta, I hate trying to click onna screen and the bumps make you crazy.
** IF ** you are looking for a used 2021 CX-5 with a Turbo 2.5L PLEASE have it looked at by a mechanic. ALL Turbo '21 2.5L Mazda Models have been suffering from oil consumption issues due to the valve guides/seals leaking. There is a Mazda TSB as well as a CA lawsuit that has been filed. Not sure if this was caused by supply chain issues back then? It was during the height of the pandemic.
-Note: Some '21 2.5L Turbo models are unaffected at this time, and the normally aspirated ones so far are fine as well.

I also wish the infotainment buttons were the same in this as the ones they use in my CX 30
I have this as a loaner, I wish the signal stock and wiper blade was longer like the cx30 and mazda3..it’s just too short in the cx5. Other than that I love my loaner cx5 awd turbo!
The mics are really picking up the road noise because in real life this car is incredibly quite It has the same sound measurements as a Bentley bentega

Be aware: turbo variants have oil leaking issues due to a design flaw. Reports indicate the updated valves don't fix the issue.

I have an Audi A6 Quattro Allroad 230HP (Stage 1, 2.5TDI, V6 engine) Diesel manual transmission from the end of 2004. The car can be very agile and quick to the pedal. I really want a Mazda CX-5, not sure if the Mazda will be as quick as the Audi, guess I'll have to test it myself :D
I was really looking forward to driving the CX50 next year, but I just got a Maserati Levante as a loaner and it made me realize how much I hate SUVs. Sure they can be fast, but they will never handle/brake/feek as well as even a regular Civic lol
I'll stick with sedan/hatches for now, maybe get AWD and call it a day.

Can everybody tell me that chugging noise that starts at 5:20, recently bought a pre owned Mazda CX5 2021, and when I slow down I hear the same sound, should it be a concern?

You mean a digital speedometer. It does have one. You just have to click “mode” on the steering wheel to switch to that view.
You also got the HUD right in your eyes telling you the speed

I was love it in 2020, I bought 2021 CX-5 2.5T GT, now I hate myself, it’s not a comfortable car.
