    This is the one I own, and I love it I can’t remember what it’s called and how to pronounce tikka but it’s mine and I love it

    Hey 6 great video, the other day I met a gentleman at the G v shooting range, he had me shoot his MPA, night Force, Spencer Barrel, 419 break, Curtis action, timony trigger at 8 oz. Thanks to him very much. Brooks if you can't afford it would recommend this over Tikka

    I have a Tikka Tac A1 with Bartlien 26 in barrel with thicker contour and although its been amazing in competitions. I've got weights on outside but a few downsides I've found. 0 moa rail, 10 round mags, attachments are limited and the foreend could be wider. For 3000 I'm considering upgrading mainly for the aftermarket stuff that help the top guys in PRS (bakerwings, internal weights, thumbshelf, etc).

    MPA has 2 production class PRS rifles at $2000 & $2500. They also come with a custom Curtis action for MPA that has a 3 lug 60 degree throw action. Both Tikka and MPA both sell there rifles that are right and left hand. I also went with the Tikka with a gen2 razor. Tikka is known for being a tack driver, but I do wish the barrel was 2 inches long and a thicker m24 barrel profile. That would put the balance point out in front of the magazine.

      I also own a tikka t3 tac a1 that I’m currently using for prs matches (new to the sport). I plan on swapping out the factory barrel for a m24 profile. So far the rifle is pretty accurate and shoots really well. Only complaints is that it has a lot of muzzle rise when shooting 6.5 creedmoor.

  • @timdavis5937
    @timdavis5937 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I know it is partly camera angle, but I looks like the Tikka is dwarfed next to the MPA. What is the overall length of both rifles? I think mine is 48" from muzzle tip to butt pad.

    So you have a video showing how you did the paint job on the Tikka? Also are you using the Tikka for hunting, what calibre ? How many rounds do you think you will get out of the Tikka barrel?

  • @tar6805

    Thanks for the video, well done.
    I like you am a newby and can not justify $5k for rifle alone so I went with the Tikka.
    If it is anything like my other Tikka CTR it should be a fly killer.

    I just watched another video by MPA introducing their latest rifle for $3,000. One thing he touched upon was the number of different "Grips" you can choose from. So, basically, the "grip" issue is a non-issue.

    • @IY6C
      @IY6C  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since that came out I have been competing in prs and other styles and now prefer that grip style

      Tikka & RPR!!
      In all honesty it’s really Not Even a COMPARISON. I own both in 6.5cm. The TIIKA Just RUINS the RPR!! In every way I mean EVERY WAY!! Not even bagging on RPR I own both for reason!!! TIKKA is in a complete different Zip Code seriously my friends but if ya have to give RPR another A$$ Whoopin I’d still watch Lmao. Good day

      @@jasonmartin7364 in what is Tika that much better . I don't own Tika ,but handled few. As far as egos,action and trigger , I'd say there's not that much difference. Tika probably has better barrel, but for price difference I can just get aftermarket barrel for RPR amd swap them myself. Belive shaping barrels in Tika is not that easy.

    Do you perhaps know the difference between the two generations of the t3x a1 rifles? One says tac on the box the other says tact from what I hear. Wondering what the differences are?

      It’s a jp Cantilevered 20 moa built in. I should have a video of model number when I put it on an AR 10. I will try and find it.

      Also mine has the Curtis Custom Axiom action with 60 degree throw. I think my barrel is possibly heavier but hard to tell in the vid. I bought the same glass you have but in moa with ebr-7 reticle and till I can get my thunder beast ultra 9 I’m running my dilencerco saker with keymo mount. I’m new at this but I’m learning.

    Low degree bolt throw seems like a good idea on paper but the ones out there are lacking. Tikkas have a very heavy bolt lift and the vector is such a shit show. Zeus might be better but there are a few discouraging reviews on it. 90 degree actions rules the prs world. AIs have that military cool factor but they aren’t doing much winning.
