That heart tank duping trick in Sting Chameleon is brutal. Absolutely brutal. Everytime I see these runners pull it off, I internally cheer! Anyways, very exciting race with top notch commentary :)
Watching them play all I can think is " its like we aren't even playing the same game " lol
Luiz Miguel is an AMAZING RUNNER
Luiz Miguel é brabo, tem que respeitar
All four runs were impressive to watch! It's incredible how fast they can clear these stages.
Luiz movement is so good.
7:37 demonstrating Megaman rhythm game potential lol.
Yes! I glad that i am not the only one that get that!
Awesome race, it was hard to predict the winner because they all kept changing position. Darrenville va behind for some time but was able to get back in the game at Sigma 1. With such a comeback, sad for him to have missed his chance in the boss gauntlet.

Yo, this song is really good
someones watching terminalmontage. i approve.
Boa Luiz Miguel 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
This was such an amazing race. Everyone under a 5% difference? Dang, amazing.
I love these races, Tiki made a mistake putting him in last, then finishes 2nd behind 5 seconds at the end! never know what'll happen
Yo no matter how many times I've played this game I had to drop in and watch this one. Megaman X was literally the first game I played and to this day is still my favourite!! 💎
MAn that jump at around 24 minutes in must be really hard! Everyone died like 5 times in a row trying it. :(
@NOT TJ / Henry Yoshi what were they setting up? They didn't explain.
@@russellslaughter2957 I might miss remembernig because I haven't played this game in 2 decades but I believe the capsule with the upgrade doesn't appear everytime so you have to keep trying and dying is faster than restarting the stage.
Edit: I just cheked
"Make sure you have full health when you dash to the ledge. Quickly jump into the pit below and die (this is quicker than restarting the level everytime you get to the ledge). You have to do this 3 times (after defeating Armored Armadillo)".
@@russellslaughter2957 Getting the final upgrade, the Hadoken, requires having 100% of all other collectibles in the game and dieing in Armadillo's stage a certain number of times in order for the upgrade capsule to spawn. This was why the commentators were remarking on Tiki needing to get an extra life along the way because he died early in Cameleon's stage and didn't have enough lives to do it (you can't use the Continue option for this - all the lives must be lost in one 'run' of Armadillo's stage).

@@Paltheos thank you. I follow a lot of speed runs and was surprised, especially with GDQ, that they didn't explain this more.
„I‘m a MEGA MAN NOW.“
One of the best OST ever made for a game! So good!
fantastic run yall!!
Oh man.....Mega Man X brings back some memories!
Boaaa Luiz Miguel! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
É do Brasil! 🇧🇷
I used to speedrun this so many times when I was a kid. If SGDQ/AGDQ had existed back then, I definitely would've tried for it.
Good Job Luiz Miguel, nice run
Awesome race, great runners and commentary! Cheers
Clipper did a great Job, as the others as well ! this was a nice race
Comment section, what’s your favorite Stage Theme?
Sigma 2 is criminally underrated!
Boomer Kuwanger
Storm Eagle gets me going! Usually by then I’m feeling pretty confident and ready to kick butt!
@@stevenjacob1983 Ever hear the Powerglove version?
Tight Race!!
Everytime I watch a speedrun race, I choose to root for a racer, in this one, I've chosen Clipper.
Same. tbh Idk any of them but I liked the way she played for the first 5 minutes. This was close
She had the best video quality lol

What's the reason for the stage order? I mean yes, Penguin first cause dash, but Kuwanger seems an odd second choice...
Kuwanger gives the boomerang, which is the most time saving weapon in the run. Also, Kuwanger is one of the faster buster fights, so the time you lose for not having the weakness is way less than the time you save for getting the boomerang; four of the 8 mavericks take 3 damage from a blue shot, and 2 damage from a green shot, whereas the other four take 2 damage from a blue shot, and 1 damage from a green shot. The boomerang allows us to go to Chameleon next, and Chameleon's weapon is Eagle's weakness, and the boomerang saves a ton of time in Eagle with the platform grab. Eagle's stage has the helmet, which allows us to go to Mammoth to break the blocks for the buster, the tornado is also Mammoth's weakness. The tornado also saves a ton of time in Mandrill stage when you fight the miniboss, which is a big reason why you want to beat Eagle before going to Mandrill - despite having Mandrill's weakness right after beating Chill Penguin. After that, it's pretty cut and dry, you kill Armadillo with the spark and Octopus with the rolling shield. The submarines in Octo stage are also weak to C Sting and Rolling Shield, so you want to have access to those weapons to save time there, but that's obviously a non-issue in this route since he's the last maverick. I hope this clears it up a little.
In short, to answer your question "What's the reason for the stage order?" It's faster.
Boomerang, it makes the heart and e tanks easier to scoop up, instead of returning again later to claim them
I think for the boomerang so they can catch the items while moving
boomerang cutter, look at all the times you either need it for an item or a trick that lets you get things faster
the boomerang is needed for a lot of the "speedrun tricks" they performed
Close run! Great job everyone!
Really tight race
such a great race
26:52 dat music sync buster sync tho
Good race
awesome run
video gets a like just for "Nah, let's make them wait on the menu screen a little longer" lol
