- “Dad, why is my sister’s name Rose?” - “Because your mother loves Roses” - “Thanks dad” - "No problem, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Work This Time (Bonnaroo '22)"
It's just tight sustained fuzz man with a scooped middle and it's the coolest compressed distortion a guitar can have to strangle a bend imo. Great tone. I say that with massive respect too
Eyy I’m in this crowd. And on about 3 hits of acid. They started with a really cool robot stop/hot water jam and ended with the dripping tap. Best show of the weekend by far bb
Nah, gotta have a album version that's tame for critics, but leaves room for the listeners to imagine. I personally like it for how simple it is on the record. It gives me that, "high as a kite, so I'm going to lay in the grass and look at different shaped clouds" kind of vibe. But this version is naaaaaaasty. I miss their Oddments/Quarters/jazzy sound.
Walkey J. [Verse 1] I knock hello But I see that you've got hypothermia So I place a block to stop the rot And hope that I can warm you up [Pre-Chorus] Do I have to shake you, babe, until you're blind? 'Cause every light bulb's blown and I'm feeling so inclined [Chorus] Can never lay my whole head down Can never lay my whole head down Can never lay my whole head down I know I'm lazy but, baby, I will work this time [Verse 2] It's kind of funny That I live the poetry I can not write But you, my beauty Shall be fixed forever loosely in my heart [Pre-Chorus] Do I have to shake you, babe, until you're blind? 'Cause every light bulb's blown and I'm feeling so inclined [Chorus] Can never lay my whole head down Can never lay my whole head down Can never lay my whole head down I know I'm lazy but, baby, I will work this time

Fuck yeah Joey
One of his best solos lately I think, alongside Magenta Mountain at Timeland.
That was nuts. Back to you Almonds
The solo restored my faith to live life
“But you , my beauty shall be fixed forever loosely in my hearrrrrrrtt”
5:34 something happens to his guitar on that bend. One of the best bends I’ve ever heard. Best band of this time period hands down.

Was blown away by this at the Alexandra Palace the other night one of the greatest performances I've ever seen
It sounds like he might have stomped on his effects board and added the reverb/echo just for a second there
@@retinalcircus I'm literally sat here on the couch saying the same to my Mrs. They went full Pink Floyd and I didn't expect it
Not only of this time, bro. One of the best of all time.
One of the best guitar solos I’ve ever heard!
saved my life paid my rent nourished my crops etc. et al.

Et al 😂😂😂😂
Saw them live in Montreal last week, third time. This song was so damn good!
I gotta say Joey has become such a badass. All of them.
Is there no style of music that these guys can’t master? Awesome stuff
They totally had that spirit of the Dead and Floyd in this version.
DAMN !!!..... This solo is giving me the chills !!!
I love Joey more than anything in the world
More than toilet paper?
I am so glad this is in your concert rotation... please play it next time you tour in Canada!
Esa version de work this time es la mejor rola que he escuchado en vivo en toda mi vida, un pinche orgasmo hecho rola. Esos vatos son de otro 🌎
Now that is what I would refer to as a face melter

Amazing solooooo
Zappa level guitar solo intensity
very lovely 22's solo
That's really fucking amazing. Thank you KGLW
This version is much better than the original from the Oddments album, a shame than the audio isn't the best, but who cares.

you can find better quality audio for this version on bootleg gizzard 🦎 shame the audience is louder in it too lmao

[Verse 1]
I knock hello
But I see that you've got hypothermia
So I place a block to stop the rot
And hope that I can warm you up
[Pre-Chorus]
Do I have to shake you, babe, until you're blind?
'Cause every light bulb's blown and I'm feeling so inclined
[Chorus]
Can never lay my whole head down
Can never lay my whole head down
Can never lay my whole head down
I know I'm lazy but, baby, I will work this time
[Verse 2]
It's kind of funny
That I live the poetry I can not write
But you, my beauty
Shall be fixed forever loosely in my heart
[Pre-Chorus]
Do I have to shake you, babe, until you're blind?
'Cause every light bulb's blown and I'm feeling so inclined
[Chorus]
Can never lay my whole head down
Can never lay my whole head down
Can never lay my whole head down
I know I'm lazy but, baby, I will work this time
I want joeys legs
