Hi there. I am a beginner when it comes to those kinds of knive. (In Germany they are called "one-hand knives".) But from what I have read and seen now (for nearly a month) Ganzo and Sanrenmu produce the best budget knives (up to 40, 50 bucks, often beetween 20 and 30), right? Or am I wrong or have missed a company or anything important? Thanks.
I wouldn’t go as far as it’s an improved PM2. It’s noticeably heavier when holding them both, and the extra 1/8th on the G729 blade in height and length to avoid legal repercussions makes spydie flicking tough without wrist. Gimping also leaves a lot to be desired. It is a great beater PM2 though!

I use white ceramic rods for sharpening on my D2 blades. Works great.
I love my Ganzos. I have a gray G729. It’s basically an improved Spyderco Paramilitary
