I've had many birdbaths thru the years and the ones most used by birds are the saucers sitting right on the ground. You wouldn't think the birds would like them because of the safety issue, but robins especially love them. They would use them in morning and the one by my bedroom window would wake me up every morning. What a racket! The taller baths would be frequented by daddy birds showing their babies how to use them. For hummers, their favorite would be to sit in the bushes and small trees when the sprinkler was on. There were beautiful iridescent mud dauber wasps who would keep an eye on my back door. When I came out and turned the hose on, the girls would come in clouds to gather the mud to form their nesting tubes. Very friendly and never stung. You get to enjoy so much nature when you garden!
I laughed about the idea of a bird thinking "Nah, those must be rocks."
i had read that putting plastic forks tine up next to your tiny peas and it discourages Rabbits.. i tried it last year and it WORKED .. i was amused and amazed.
I use red Christmas balls on my tomato plants to deter birds. Out of 55 plants, I lost 3 tomatoes to birds.
That's funny! Christmas in July!
I love that! I'm definitely telling my friends about that, great and cute idea, thanks for sharing!
This sound like a neat idee however I would for get to buy them
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay smarter than toxic spray paint! Good thinking!
Wow, I'm going to try that this year! Birds also eat all of our grapes before they are ripe enough to pick. It will be xmas in July here LOL Thanks for the tip. Great video too.
I can't get over how clever and productive your channel is. This is my first spring following you. I'm not even sure how I found your channel, but I'm happy I did. I look forward to spending time in the food forest this summer. All the way over here in frigid IL. Additionally, your fruit trees are stunning this spring.
Thanks for the kind words Shawna! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos, me and Tuck have a lot of fun making them.
And I look forward to sharing it with you and everyone else, this stuff is my passion ❤️😁
I love this guy!
This explains why I chipped a tooth from tasting my neighbors strawberry patch.
Haha!! I thought I saw you trying to get at my strawberries Timothy 🤣
😆😂
@@jamesprigioni
Can you please check and see if you can find my tooth? I believed its somewhere near your strawberry patch.😁😁
Hah! thats what you get!
Karma's a bitch... LoL............
I lost my first harvest of blueberries to birds. I put a LARGE RUBBER SNAKE next to my blueberry plants and I haven't have a problem with birds eating my blueberries ever since.
I wonder if that would work for mice
@@divinesignatures6225 I would suggest getting an outdoor cat.
That is funny!! Going to try this as the birds here in Florida swoop down right in front of you to get that berry. We even have cats but still lose our berries. Thanks for the tip!
@@garethbaus5471 my neighbor has one and it constantly shits and pisses in my garden. I wish I was a dickhead because I would call the city if I was. It's illegal to keep a cat outside where I live. Fuckin thing leaves hair balls, dead animals, and shit everywhere.
Got mice in my shed for 2 years and the cat has no interest in them. Go figure.
No cats! They are the worst!
Sylvia Hilxebrant if you have yours next to a fence, get a fake owl and perch it on top of the fence. I did that and haven’t had any trouble since. An old man gave me that advice and it worked like a charm. I couldn’t believe it.
Guinea hens are great at working in the garden, they dont have big feet like ducks to walk amongst vegetables and they don't scratch up the ground like chickens. And they eat lots of ticks!
Tuck is beautiful. My Yorkie was a fisherman instead of a garden guard. I miss him. Love seeing Tuck.
What happned, did you eat him?
Birds peck at fruit & veggies looking for water mostly. I have bird baths in my garden & they leave my food alone.
I just put one in my garden for that reason, fingers crossed
I thought so too and left out water in multiple places, but they still came out for my produce...they DO have taste!
That's a lie.
Smart
I put out three birdbaths and that has helped a lot as the birds stay away from the strawberries. Fenceing is soooooo important and you are such an inspiration James! 💖👍🌱😁
C P Digs I never realized the dual or multi reasons why there were birdbaths. I need to keep water in mine and put up more!
@@thehomeplatespecial597 Yes we encourage the birds and they are very beneficial to us/plants. So fun learning something new every season. I love James enthusiasm! I put a large flat rock in one birdbath so the depth is less and sides aren't so slippery for them. They are delightful to watch while we enjoy the fruits of our labor. All the best to you! 🌱👍😁
Anything shiny in the trees, use old CDs in the trees. The shine freaks out the birds and they stay away.
I have used that type of bird bath in the past ~ they love it. I also have done the same for the bees except I put some stones/pebbles in the bottom & don't fill it as full ~ the bees can drink & not drown =)
The hummingbirds love them too but they will only visit running water or moving water. I got a small waterfall piece that sits inside of my bird bath and it pulls the water up and creates a small fountain I think it was like 15 bucks and is solar powered.
@@moniquegebeline4350 how do you keep mosquito larvae out of it
so sad
mosquitos will only go to standing water- but I rinse it with the hose and add new fresh water daily
@@moniquegebeline4350
You don't have to rinse it every day, only when you could see the larva swimming around, which occurs in several days.
But he uses D.E. which is a bee killer. 😢
LOVE your head of garden security !!! 😁💕
I helped my daughter manage a giving garden for her school. I checked out old past years history and found the area was pretty dry, plus deer in nearby woods eat anything thatoes grow. I try and get people to plant certain things that do well with less water plus set up the plots for simple chicken wire fencing. Last year was I think the most that grew there.
I like the red rocks, We don’t grow strawberries but I think something like that for tomatoes is good idea. I’m growing lots of tomatoes. My apartment looks like your place, cups all over.
Trying to work out good simple fencing for pumpkin patch this year.
I want to try and make battery power motion detector device that plays recording of deer whistle or something for when they come snooping at night
I like your saving of tomato seeds video, gonna try some next fall
I am now in Maine but grew in Upstate NY Zone 6 for 25+ years. You are doing a great job. Very impressive. Have you considered: 1. companion planting to naturally repel a lot of the pests you are having trouble with? A lot of the companion plants are great perennials, that can double for -cutting flowers; can be eaten; medicinal use; herbs, etc. 2. tip to tip growing? If the plants are ultimately 18" spread plant 18" between plants and they will grow to their width but provide shade cover for the soil. It gives a 3 to 1 yield is nutrient dense and disease resistant. From when we first started gardening we went down to using 95% less water. We had a drought for over 4 years, water was restricted but my gardens grew beautifully! I use wood chips and other materials and grey water for when the plants show they need it. The point is to provide a cover for the soil. I designed and grew in raised beds, containers, etc. before it became a fad. I also use in addition to companion planting, 'environment development' for beneficial animals for the garden. I set up an area for amphibians, they love bugs and slugs. An area for snakes. NJ & NY are home to a lot of garden and rat snakes. They are non-poisonous and they love to eat all little critters that are a part of nature but not what you want where you are growing. Just some things that have worked for us over the years. PS: I love the fact that you know and explain the parts of a food forest. PPS: Chickens love and will be healthier if you feed them your leftovers from the garden and garden greens. We do that and it cuts tremendously on feed. Chicken manure mixed with you leaf mulch is excellent for your plants and trees and makes a great compost tea.
Man, if I ever get a decently sized garden, I'm going to do what you're doing bro! Great vids J, you're always a highlight of my youtube binge
I wanna be like you when I grow up! (Says someone older than you)
Haha! That's to funny!!!
Haha, its funny, i heard same thing yesterday from a person older then me
I like it :)
something special isnt he, Im a girl so I can say, I wanna man like him
Ha ha me too😁
I looked at my hands and fingers today and noticed the cracks are stained and they're pretty dirty from harvesting tomatoes, beans, cukes, etc and today I collected a whole wheelbarrow full of apples, made and canned applesauce...yeah for dirty hands!! 👋👋🎍🍎🍽
I loved the homemade bird bath idea! Hi tuck!
I love the strawberry rock!I just got to try it.
@@itsgenevie yah, let's not do things that work because of cynicism. They may have better senses, but that doesn't matter if they reason at the level of a toddler. Toddlers try to chew on all sorts of things that they shouldn't as well. It teaches them lessons effectively though and they stay away in the future.
Dude I love the way you think. You are my new favorite channel. Only thing is, is that you live in a much different climate than I. But still have very good common sense tips and methods. Just saying please keep it up.
I love your choice of music. So unique, and I get the feeling it’s so you. Great videos! I enjoy them very much.
The musical artist is Pretty Lights, the song is Finally Moving Remix.
Did you say JERSEY????
So many of these videos are in much warmer climates. This is AWESOME.
My family is from NJ.
I had forgotten the red rock trick until thinking about the 25 strawberry plants we just finished putting in, plus one Stark Cider Apple, 3 honey berry, 2 Concord grape, 2 thornless blackberry. We also have herbs and spices planted along with pole beans and peas. The tomato starts are going good along with the peppers and Anaheim chilies. We still have so much to plant yet! Next month two pear trees and some more strawberries. You are our inspiration, James! We are forever grateful to you for showing us even a little space can become a Food Forest! Blessings to you and the Food Forest Sheriff! Hug that Tuck for me, please!
Oh, I forgot to tell you....the husband made a SIFTER like you have and it works AMAZINGLY! We had so much compost but it still had a few sticks and stuff, so we sifted and Oh My Gosh! Amazing! Thanks again!
Great vid, bro! Decoy birds and predators are for sale all over the place. Decoy fruit NEVER occurred to me, lol! The worst is when birds peck a bunch of our fruit ONE day before we harvest it.
You can also make a cement bird bath using dollar tree smooth containers. And cooking spray to pop them out easier
Ooh 😭 I miss my chief of garden patrol, he's sleeping now near the peach tree permanently, he was such a good companion and always so cheery just to accompany me on all projects.
Tuck is great for a yorkie. My neighbors yorkies just run around and bark like crazy, well I guess unintentionally they are keeping the rabbits and chipmunks away.
For a future video could you sketch out a drawing of your old food forest showing where you planted everything in relation to each other?
You are right..its always a good idea,to have more plants than you need. When things go wrong, you have a backup plan. And if everything works fine, then you have al lot of plants for friends or neighbours...like i do.This way more people get into gardening i hope.Btw i love your enthusiasm and passion for your lil piece of paradise :-)
Yeea yeea first post! Cant wait for it to warm up abit here in nova scotia canada so i can get my planting started! I find your videos very entertaining, motivating and informative; and have inspired me to start growing food for my family.
Yess! Here early Luke H, I love it!
Thanks for the kind words brother and I'm glad the videos are bringing you value.
Nothing makes me happier to hear that you are growing food for your family though my friend, that is priceless.
Love your videos...great info! I have the bird baths going on in my garden; I use ceramic bases for less evaporation and easier cleaning. If you place a rock in there you may get butterflies and other pollinators taking a drink. One pest I deal with are slugs and for those I use crushed eggshells, pine needles and wood ash they don’t like crawling on that
Good idea with the strawberries! Thanks.
Thanks Alice, and your welcome :)
I love the rock strawberry idea! Brilliant! I also plant in abundance. That way there’s still plenty for me and my family after the critters take their share. 😊
My father's garden diary listed like James's narratives~! I was broken by his death & it helped me survive. He wrote..." my vines, hane borne such a tender shoot"...it was like hearing~"Love of his flora" & me as his child, as the Lord loves us all...his tender shoots...
I planted green beans today and left to do some errands. Less than 3 hours later....the beans were destroyed by the birds. I was so disheartened. "I'll put bird netting when I get back". I'm so bummed, but I just started more bean seeds, hoping I can get them going again. Man, how demoralizing. I love the red rock idea James!
yikes sorry to hear that.. Im in an apartment, big big balcony, top floor, and to deter birds I have little shiny pinwheel's .. got them at the dollar store.. birds hate a glint/light refraction.. or silver streamers that will move with the wind n reflect the sun.. works well for me, no loss last year.. just thought I'd pass that along.. good luck! my indoor beans are a foot n one trailer vine is 3ft!! lol.. snake beans..
Bird netting is a terrible idea it kills birds !!
If ever I doubt my new product idea, I just have to remember that someone out there would buy rocks if I'd post them for sale. Thank you for adjusting my outlook, making a video that I didn't instantly have to play at 1.5 speed (kudos for your 'snap'), and providing great tips.
Hi, thanks for the tips. I have one for you about the birds, they only eat the fruit because they’re thirsty so if you leave them out a drink they should leave the fruit alone. 😁
Yet ANOTHER informative and thought provoking video.
Keep up the great work, you're helping many people, Brother!
From my personal observation I think you are absolutely right about thirsty birds raiding the garden. Giving the birds a water source is kinder and easier than fighting with them over juicy produce.
Always enjoying your videos. Concerning the brassicas: you can all plant them very deep, up to their neck where the first leaves grow. They love it and stand better.
Do you mean like broccoli, is broccoli in that group?
Yep broccoli is a brassica.

I'm so glad I found your channel! Fellow New Jersey gardener and it has been so helpful to find someone growing in my area. I've found a lot of gardening channels are in hotter less humid climates so it can be difficult to adapt their advice.
I found praying matis nests. So cool. I really like this channel.
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching and the kinds words
I'm a relative newbie to your channel and am watching all your vids out of order - so I wondered if the red rock strawberries was an April Fools at first, but can see it would be an AWESOME idea! :D I'd love to see a mashup of all your intros - What's up growers! You're a great guy/team with Tuck, and give me a lot of inspiration and fun -. I've even got my hubby watching this, from here in Norway! He wonders who is this guy from Jersey who's making me smile :D Rambling fan comment is OUT!
I have used the rocks... put them out in late April and to date have had NO issue with losing berries to birds... to grandkids YES... birds... NO! Great tip that has worked well.
Your garden is looking great, even pest prevention is not an eye-sore.
We are a few weeks behind you here in Illinois, just planting cool season crops this week. Thanks James and Tuck!
Thank you my fiends!
Oh very nice, I hope you have great success with your cool crops this year 😁❤️
Tuck😍 is so like Geordie 😍, my border terrier. He does regular garden patrols, keep rats & mice away from the compost & woodshed and keeps opossums away altogether. So I think he deserves to munch in the vege garden.
a Girl friend use to make garden puddles. make a mound of sand cover it with big leaves like rhubarb . maybe some shells or stones,, then cover that with cement,, harden,, flip and clean out the cement bowl and its a puddle with leaf fossils once sunk 9in the ground with the lip just above the soil,, real cool, love your show
Food forest is the goal for us also!
Picky eaters especially, like sweets!
A filling trip around the yard!
😊Loved red Rock🍓👍
Your videos are wonderful and the tidbit of music you added was awesome! 🌻
And last but not least is sweet little Tuck. You guys are a delight! Thank you
Love the red Rock trick for the strawberries. I agree with you about planting a few extra plants if you have room in your grow room or greenhouse just in case.
A suggestion also James regarding the bird baths. Make sure to keep the water changed on a regular basis so mosquito wrigglers don't show up. Otherwise mosquitoes lay their eggs in the standing water and you end up getting lots of larva and eventually adult mosquitoes.
I just love your food forest. I look forward to watching your videos they're very informative and inspirational. Thank you, and i love Tuc. I have never seen dogs eat vegetables. I have a big garden in Florida but I always have trouble with my strawberries. It is either the birds, squirrels or raccoons, so I will try the rock trick. I wrap my fruits like apples and pears with strawberry clear containers. Keeps the squirrels and raccoons away, it is a lot of work but well worth it.
Ellen
Really like the strawberry idea, and now my strawberry plants have spread far and wide over the past year I will do the same - since pigeons and pheasants are the main pests in my garden.
These same birds decimated my Good King Henry overnight! Grr!! So I have spent all today making 'rustic cages' from unwanted wild raspberry canes to keep the Henrys safe, protect my blackcurrant flowers, and to protect a new sowing of spinach. The cages look a bit crazy-old-woman-style, but they'll do the job fine.
By the way, has anyone ever tried the 'painting a curly stick to look like a snake trick' to keep away the birds?
I think it was by painting the stick with red, white and black stripes? (A King Snake maybe?)
I've heard of people putting these painted sticks in trees to keep birds away from cherries and embryo pears.
Nothing wrong with crazy old lady. They have the best gardens.
I have an issue with Japanese Beatles, so I have placed a bunch of multi room bird houses around my gardens. I realized that when bearing young the birds don't like to go far from the nest. Since putting up the bird houses I now have no problems with bugs. yes I have to sacrifice a few berries but all in all it is worth it
Thank you! You’re awesome, God bless you and Tuck is adorable ♥️
Summer is back!!! Looking forward to see what you got growing on James!
Yess!! And not a month too soon! Sounds good brother, always love hearing from you Henry
What a great idea with the strawberries. Thanks for another gem of an episode man. My education continues.
your place is incredable, people dream of having a garden like that with all the trees
nice tips-I actually am excited to start a garden journal-that was a good one for me!
Great ideas James and Tuck. The butterflies need a sponge or rocks in the bird baths. Im watching 2 yrs in the future and they have a premade little block of bee cups to put water for insects that would drown in the water.
Predatory insects can be really helpful at keeping away the little pests. You can attract several predatory insects to your garden by growing milkweed.
I am over seventy and just learned a great new strawberry gardening trick! I enjoy your channel.
James, Tuck is the star of your videos!
Yup!! And he always is when he’s in them Rebecca. Most people don’t realize that he runs the show and I’m just his back up guy 🤣
@@jamesprigioni I might have to kidnap him...he is soooo cute.
If you plug up and fill that top pot on your bird bath up to the brim with water before putting the water basin on top and filling, it will add a process called water wicking from the bottom pit and the air wicking away the bottom pot will keep the water temperature cold. So this way when you Place the basin in top and fill that, the water inside the pot underneath will keep the top basin cool and you won’t lose as much water from evaporation due to the sun and heat.
The pot has to be kept full to the top too so just top it off whenever you do the basin. You won’t have to refill as often but you will use a little more water per filling.
Hiya James! I recently started planting a few fruit trees and intend to plant more in the autumn this year... Question: how far apart do you plant your trees and do you then plant fruit shrubs in between them? Maybe you have a video on this already so I'd be very grateful for the link... thank you so much... from south east Italy on the coast lol!!!!
Cool hack for the strawberries! I have a hack I do for my tomatoes, birds like to peck at my tomatoes when they are turning red. So I use red plastic Christmas bulbs to hang on my tomatoes plants, the birds come peck on those bulbs, then by the time tomatoes turn red, the birds leave them alone. :-D
That's a cute little dog. If we had a dog like yours in our garden, he would be called "lunch," because we have multiple coyotes and bobcats that continually visit our yard looking for food and using our garden as bait.
Good ideas for sure. I planted some flowers today, and my spring garden is coming along nicely. Fortunately, my backyard is bordered by a freshwater spring, flowing into a pond. So, water, thankfully, isn't an issue for me. I could see where those bird baths would be helpful. My strawberries are blooming here too. My main problem with strawberries are the wild rabbits. I find newborn rabbits, eating my strawberries, all the time.
You need some hawks in your neighborhood.
love love the painted rocks,,,your beautiful garden rocks,,,,so does tuck,,,,,happy day to you,,,,
Thank you my friend, I’m glad to hear that. Happy day to you also! 😁❤️
Tuck is such a beautiful little friend.
Yes he is Sue, it wouldn't be the same without him
47 thumbs down chipped their tooth on a rock strawberry 🍓
Lol Heather ❤❤😆
Always great content- word of waterproofing wisdom: careful with the woodchips building up against your greenhouse wood siding. it'll rot that wood eventually. thanks for all the tips! been inspired by your videos for years
Good info Bryan, thanks for sharing that my friend 🙏❤️
Since they want water maybe bird baths on other side of yard where there are no garden plants will help. It might satisfy their need. I had ducks before and they lay their eggs all over the place and hide the nest. My mallards used to lay huge double yolk eggs. Don’t eat to many at once cause they are to rich and can give you runs. Good for baking. Good luck , ducks are fun.👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻❤️🐾🐾🐾
And tomorrow I’m painting red rocks and getting out my Christmas decorations!! Thanks everyone for the ideas!!
You have enough area there to also grow some things the birds like. When you work WITH Nature, part of it is to provide food for the other creatures. You could do a little fenced off section full of good food for the birds, bird baths, etc. If they can go someplace they won't be bothered, they will tend to bother your tree fruits less (not always, but if you can "talk" to the birds, you can let them know to only eat from the area you have provided). If you're new to this, it might sound crazy, but it works. Also, it's not so much the water they are after with the strawberries, it's the "energy". This is why they will peck a hole in a fruit and move on to the next one (ask most energy healers who also garden and they can verify this). If you approach it like the Buddhists do, and remember that everything that lives just wants to continue living, it makes more sense.
So inspiring thats why i made my own little garden for a limited area😊😊.
Engineered abundance. I just listened to a podcast talking about how the native Americans were mastered of engineered abundance.
I love the choice of words and that perspective!
What was the podcast you were listening to, I listen to a number of podcasts 😁
I'm interested in the podcast as well, if you can give us the name/episode. Thanks Cindy!
Me as well. would like to listen to it.
Very clever idea, James! Here in So Cal, I've been hounded this summer by a pair of Hooded Orioles attacking my tomatoes. I built a hoop house using your method and covered it with plastic chicken wire to keep them out and it worked. But I'd like to find some other way so I don't have to close off my garden from the birds because they also eat many insects. The orioles seem to have no interested in the water I've put out; they are fruit eaters. I have an oriole feeder on order and I'll try the red Christmas ball idea from Rhonda below too and see if these together work.
Thanks again for all that you share with us, James; you and Tuck are inspiring !!! 💕💕💕

I love Tuck! 💞😉🐕 absolutely fabulous video!🤗💞💞
This is NOT a home garden!
This is a little farm!!
A lot of time needed
☺️😊
A ton of what he's growing could be done in a container, in a greenhouse, bought as fruiting age or within a year or being able to bear fruit, you can combine this method with "square foot garden" style of just mixing your own super soil, and then mulching/cover cropping "back to eden" / "permaculture" style on top of that, introduce microlife with compost teas, and get it rocking very quickly
I was just today remembering your video from last year about fooling the birds with the painted rocks. My strawberries are only about 2 weeks away from ripening. Last year I had a lot of bird pressure. I'm hoping that the rock trick and making a bird bath will give better results this year. Thanks for all your information!
Yup Sunday night was crazy and I lost some plants. But i'm not discouraged just educated. (I am referencing the storm we had Sunday.)
I love that attitude my friend. Yeah it woke me up at like 4AM, it was violent out there 😮
I have a apple tree, 2nd year. This year 15 apples started, I was thrilled watching them grow while home! Now I’m down to 3! So upset over the squirrels enjoying their morning snacks! not sure what to do.
James you should try fermentation! I’ve been making fermented raspberry and honey with just a little splash of alcohol to get the process started and after three days you have a fizzy sweet delicious beverage to enjoy.
I like your rock strawberries. Very good idea & Tuck is so cute!!
Thanks Renee! Yeah Tuck is the real MVP 🐕👍🏻
"if it's a bad year for strawberries we still have the asparagus". lol Ya because that's my next choice after munching on strawberries!
Me: Oh darn no strawberries? That's okay, I'll have some asparagus instead.
Yeah, said no one ever! 🤣🤣🤣
Lololol
Nothing like an asparagus shortcake after a long day of working in the garden, yum.
Love the idea of painted rocks! Someday, after my kitty passes away from old age, I will get a pup to hang out with me in my garden. I would get one now, but kitty hates all animals and doesn't share well. He is very good at killing rodents, like voles and such, so I guess that's a plus. Great idea to put out more bird watering stations, too.
very interesting ideas james--your right, tuck is the best of security guards...
Thanks Carmine! Yeah he is, hands down MVP
I love all the Xavier Rudd in your videos. Also you've really inspired me to try my hand at food forest gardening. I'm going to start prepping my grounds now for great soil later!
Tuck is having to work overtime with those ducks 😂😂 he's like my pooch always keeping the cats away👍
Thanks for forest hack . I gotta do this tomorrow. I got some pine berries so I'll paint some like that too . Every video is Much appreciated.
Your welcome Donald! Oh nice, the white ones?
Glad to hear that brother :)
@@jamesprigioni yup white with lil red dots. By the way I got 2 pawpaw Susquehanna and Pennsylvania variety . Generations later we will be remembered for the trees and our forests . So thanks from my kids and theirs too . God bless you bro
I like your idea of the painted rocks, because I had a lot of strawberries that were eaten last year. I also have a paw patrol in my garden! She chases anything that moves, including a wily white cat, that I've caught in my compost heap! Sent out the paw patrol....cat gone☺
Love that you grow extra. In UK we have started a new 'Grow a Gift' program, to give fresh fruit and veg to those in dire need, especially during the Winter Holidays. Always a good idea to have more to give away than less to survive on- we could start a global wave against food poverty...maybe...? On another thought, how do you treat a bird with concussion?
You can sprinkle your peas with cinnamon or homemade garlic spray. It works well! Thank you for all you do and share 🌬💚♾
I have a 100,000 gallon pond for the birds to drink from. Also provides the bees a ready source of water and mud (solitary bees) mason/cutter bee house is 10 ft away.
The frogs eat bugs. The tadpoles and minnows eat the mosquito larvae.
We get hurons visiting to fish them out.
My ducks will eat my peas and beans outside of the fence line... Chicken wire was enough to protect them... when I plant from seed, I have to cover the planted seed with insect netting or the mice/voles/chipmunks will dig them up at night. Once the seedlings are transplant size, the rodents leave them alone but the ducks will get them if they are not protected... great video! Thank you! :)
Are you able to grow delicious loquot there. The reason I ask is here in FL I notice the loquot trees host what I call tiny tiny beneficial spiders and of course mango flies when the mango trees have their off alternate years (mango trees are pollinated by flies with green shiney thoraxes) . Those beneficial tiny tiny spiders will eat on curculio eggs I believe.
Wow you are so great with the rocks to trick the birds way to go
Thanks for all your tips💗💗🤗🤗
You’re welcome Yvencia, thanks for watching ❤️😁
