    I didn't detect a colour cast - until you corrected it and then it popped! An amazing difference!
    Thanks Nathan.

    Very impressive the results of the Curves layer. The use of Neutralize is very good too.

    Another information-packed video sir, thank you. Oddly enough, this past week I was having a difficult time trying to clear up the color cast on two different houses. I have these same circumstances frequently but for some reason, this time I could the color cast seemed especially stubborn. Both houses had a lot of white walls and ceilings, dark wood floors and furnishings, plus a lot of green plants outside. These two techniques really will help next time. I just went back and re-edited some of my work and it improved the quality of my images. I will have to re-submit my updated work to my client, hat in hand.

    Thanks imma try this. I have been having issues with this for a while, where colors just look off + casts...and i have been manually destaturating all the colors and trying to fix the wb constantly.

    Nathan - great tute as always. I am testing my canon crop + rokinon 8mm full frame fisheye for building tours. Essentially 6 images + zenith + nadir. Stitching is a lot of work. But the output is much better than my One X. A camera like a One X is still needed for jobs which don't command the effort or fee to justify using a dslr. To be honest if I could sell my One X and upgrade to Z1 that would be a solid result. The One X is very good for outdoor work. It doesnt do very well with low light conditions. Your suggestion for using flash with the dslr is very interesting. I considered this because color cast on a log home which I just completed was a challenge. Flash would improve results and hopefully save time. I assume it would be on the hot shoe? Well I will watch for your ideas on flash with dslr. thanks

    Thanks for another great video. I've also been trying the virtual tours using a Canon 7d MKii and the Sigma 8mm fisheye and only having to take 4 shots. Results so far have been promising. Would love a tutorial on incorporating flash. Cheers

    Thanks for the video. Where would I find the video where you discuss the "two stop rule"?

      Thanks! Do a search on my YT channel for "two stop" and I'm sure you'll find it. I also elaborate on it in more detail in my interiors e-book, here's the link: www.amazon.com/dp/B0755KXSL4

    Great video as always. I too have done 360 virtual tours with my DSLR. I tried the Theta route and was unimpressed with the quality. So my D750 with 12mm Rokinon mounted on an R1 rotator (rolled to 33 degrees diagonal) gets me six shots around that are easily stitched in PTGui. So far only HDR for that process though. I’d be interested in learning how you’re using flash and getting evenly lit results across your pano.

    Another great video. What do you think about the Theta V?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! V can't provide the same results as the Z1, and even that is barely passable for pro work...although it can pull it off. V is not on my recommend list.

    Thanks Nathan, these are very good. I assume you would say these methods are better than simply choosing AUTO TONE & AUTO COLOR from the dropdown menu in photoshop?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! This is better than auto tone.

      Hi Gary, LR-only isn't enough for flash-ambient blending, so you do need PS for the entire workflow.

    Thanks for these tips Nathan, together with the discovery that my Godox trigger was the problem with the disparity in wb yesterday you've been a godsend.
    Since the trigger issue is not so well known I'm having trouble finding out some information, do you know if Nikon/Canon/Panasonic triggers fit on the Sony a7 series cameras without issue? Their hot shoe doesn't use pins for data transfer rather the hot shoe has some contacts at the end of it.
    P.S your Business Techniques book helped a ton when starting my own, can't thank you enough.

    • @NathanCoolPhoto

      I don't have a Sony a7 so I can't help there, but there were a lot of Sony users commenting about solutions in that video you mentioned: th-cam.com/video/RCQO24hcjMo/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Nathan,
    After watching the flash trigger issues causing problems I am wondering if this also applies to Sony cameras. I am currently shooting with the a7iii and the pin system is entirely different than that of the Nikon and Canon. I am assuming why my white balance issues are happening is because I am shooting with the Godox system (XPROs trigger) and getting a lot of weird tones out of it. Let me know if you had any experience with the Sony version of these triggers! Thanks for the videos, they are helping a ton.

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can happen on any camera, go through the comments on my video on that issue and you'll find discussions on Sony, here's the link: th-cam.com/video/RCQO24hcjMo/w-d-xo.html

    Thanks for all the informative videos. An off topic question from another of your videos- you recommended developing raw images using the mfg’s software and saving as a .tif for subsequent LR editing. I use a canon 80D with the sigma 10-20. Unfortunately, Canon’s DPP doesn’t support third party lenses. Any advice?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do everything in DPP except for lens correction, then make LR preset to include lens correction for your sigma.

    Out of curiosity: How many photos do you use the flambient technique for?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All interiors, sometimes just a single flash for laundry rooms, otherwise flambient everything inside.

      @@NathanCoolPhoto thanks! I'll have to keep practicing taking/editing to speed up my workflow. I typically deliver ~36 photos (for MLS), so that seems like a lot of work. But, if that is what gets me the job, then it's worth it.

    Any thoughts on Matterport for 3D?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When a company that makes hardware starts allowing third-party hardware (other 360 cameras in this case) to support its software, it's usually the death knell. Not a fan of Matterport for a variety of reasons, including flexibility in the workflow and high price, and while they were once one of the only games in town, that's changing. In short, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting all my eggs in the Matterport basket.
