total lenth: 96 inches (245cm) length and 11inches (28cm) width. it is common to choose cords x4 times of final length. If I were you for 7 feet, would cut 28 feet cord

Hello, I've used up all 384 meters of 4mm thick macrame cotton cord. You can enable video subtitles and choose the appropriate language for detailed instructions (click on the settings wheel in the corner of the screen). Beautiful :) I happen to have some cord at home and would like to try this. However, the cord I have is 6 mm... Would this work ? Or does it need to be 4mm?
Thank you! I'm glad you're inspired to try it. Regarding the cord, using 6mm cord will definitely work, but it might give a slightly different look. The table runner will appear sturdier and thicker with the 6mm cord. If you prefer a softer and more delicate effect, I recommend sticking with 4mm or even 3mm cord. The cord I use in the tutorial video is macrame cotton braided cord with a thickness of 4mm. You can also use other types of cotton cords, such as macrame cotton twisted rope or macrame cotton single rope, with the same thickness.
