Pastor Matt, your story about your brain tumor made me cry. I work in the hospital and dealt with patients and families going through what you went through. My heart goes out to all patients and family going thru all this. I am so glad that you made it through your journey and God is using you as pastor to your church and to all the world. Thank you for your words, everytime I hear the words God gave to you to share with us, I feel like God is whooping me in the behind everytime. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you Lauren and your children!
Thank you for sharing your life with us throughout these years! This was a wonderful testament of how out of suffering comes an abundance of love and zeal for life.
Randomly, I , 56 yr old illustrator, chose this message this morning 3 am, 11 days post widow maker heart attack. 10 years ago I was a sponge for some Matt Chandler messages....... and he up and gets the cancer!!😳selfishly I prayed for his healing, long hard and often!!! I needed his perspective on the scriptures, His optimism and energy! And God’s gonna remove him from our world!?!?!?!!!!!!!!! Randomly I picked this sermon this morning. Thanks God
Matt drives an 2008 Honda, lives modestly and isn't living in a mansion. He is constantly saying he doesn't want to build the monster (a modern mega church). Style & method is subjective but Matt doesn't want a coffee shop inside the church or swag bags or over the top stunts. Furthermore the Village gives money to other churches, other charities, planting church's & sending out missionaries. How many autonomous church's has the Village rolled out or planted? Sounds to me like they are interested in spreading the Gospel and being faithful stewards & not in a race to grow the biggest church in America. And is that seriously what you took out of this amazing message? 🤔
Elephant room. And surefire, I didn't get no message from here about Steven furtick. but I saw through hypocrisy. That's all I'm saying. I know many people who live modestly, but it doesn't mean they aren't douche bags 😂👌
@@joerodriguez7753 what seems "douchy" to me is Steven building a 16,000 Sq ft mansion (seriously look it up) & wearing $1000 sneakers on a pastors salary. How could he possibly justify this? How many people in his congregation are struggling to pay bills & make ends meet. And apologizing to his congregation for the awkward conversations they will have to have with non members about this. Having no deacons or elders in his church so no one can hold him accountable despite the Bible clearly stating that churches should have elders and deacons. Chandler does not pressure people into giving & doesn't pass the plate around. The Village has giving boxes located by the exits. The money he encourages people to donate is to grow the ministry, not to line his own pockets. Chandler frequently says that there are no kings at the village (one person in charge) & he loses votes and is held accountable by the Elders and the other lead pastors.
I love you Matt Chandler. You are so incredibly gifted and used of God. I know your story well but it drove me to tears and challenged me again.

Incredible content. Wow. Praise God.
I needed this today. To remember just how much Christ loves me. And how good He is despite our circumstances. Thank you for posting!
Thank you so much for this message. It was timely. Truly thankful for God's mercy!
Lately I feel like everywhere I look there is loss, it is harsh.
So glad God brought Matt through it.

He called out Furtick for not feeding his flock with the word of God, not for gathering and filling his storehouse. Where is the hypocrisy?
