I've known people to say "I'm just gonna sell all my stuff and live on a house boat with no bills". Yeah that's not how that works at all. Like they brought up, you gotta have somewhere to store the boat for power and sewage, gotta have insurances, dock fees, resort fees and they just keep going. Plus even if you do all your own maintenance a boat is still such a money pit it's a wonder all non commercial boats aren't reefs by now.
Not to mention that a lot of people who do that don't know how to sail them.... So they have to pay someone to sail it down to safer, warmer waters in the Winter, and then back up the coast in the summer. Meanwhile, they drive their car down, or they have someone pick up their car and take it South on a car carrier and they fly down.
I have lived on a boat since the 90's. Bought the boat for $2,500. Rent is $500 for everything. Internet and sewage pumpout is extra, but totally cheap living with a gorgeous view. Not leaving anytime soon.

Cosmo, while being ironic and funny about buying a staten island ferry on a whim and the hijinks over naming it Titanic 2. We can all relate to that, right?

The professional Jackals™have likely already bought this up, but I read that Colin and Michael stepped down as head writers at SNL. They're still writers, if I'm not mistaken. Love 'em, either way. Weekend Update is consistently my favorite part of SNL, these past few years.
