Watching Vaike double my fastest units is both hilarious and depressing. Spd has always been very fickle since 1 point can lead to a follow-up and that completely shifts match-ups. They haven't gone too crazy with Spd Difference Modifying skills...yet. Frozen is a little concerning due to just the sheer amount of extra Spd it requires, but it is tied to Def and can be avoided/cleansed. Still, it is just wild to see in action.
this stuff definitely got confusing 😭😭 but at least now i understand the difference between “natural” (+5 speed needed) and “free” (given by weapon/skill) follow-ups. that was very helpful!
This makes a lot of sense now. I had given up on understanding Potent and Frozen, but this video is a nice visual representation of the forces at play. I feel a Scowl/Rally Spectrum/Hush Spectrum video in this format would also help new players out in terms of visualizing that interaction.
Frozen stat eff might be great for speedy saves. Since they always fall flat compared to nuke's stat swing. Frozen actually guarantees the follow-up denial since all saves will out-def nukes by significant amount
Thank you for this video explaining all the different Spd-rules and the history of what Speed manipulation has gone through up until this recent point of Diamant, [Frozen], and Potent. I could hear some voice cracks towards the end, probably due to how many re-recordings there had to have been, and I appreciate the effort! I personally hadn't thought about how [Frozen] would work with guaranteed/preventing follow-up skills and it made a bit more complicated than I imagined at first. I think I know why [Null Follow-Up], Fast Arcane Weapons and other recent NFU skills have a "unit Spd > foe Spd" condition now, because they didn't want slow units like Hrid to be abusing easy Null Follow-Up together with [Frozen], which would've been extremely scary. So at least having natural Speed is good for that.
Man I sure to love math💀 I appreciate you trying to explain this mechanic to everyone cause I still struggle to understand any of it like the clown I am.🤡 This speed altering mechanic is definitely Intelligent Systems new favourite “toy” to play with except it to get worse.😰 Also I just tried the map your using and my Attuned Ivy can take him out no problems….thank god. Safy and her repair staff could also help after enemy phase to remove it too though that’s only on player phase.
Man, this game is becoming so complex... haha I really want to give some form of "frozen" status to my Masquerade Eldigan, since he has somewhat workable spd and wants to stack defense anyway.

Can we go back to the first year of the game so we don't have to think about any of this XDDD Dear lord this is nuts 🤣🤣
Please.
Can we turn back time. To the good old days
The good old days of The Reinhardt

Those were the simple rules 😭 Now we got skills changing the natural spd rule 💀
Thank you for this. IntSys really should be using Skill Studies to do this
Thank you so much for doing this! At this rate FEH will require us to start adding calculus by the end of next year!
Amazing stuff as always. This is a great topic that many people get confused on and you couldn’t have done it any better

haha this is wild, I just got Hrid today so I hadn't researched how his skill worked yet. Complicated but hilarious
This is a fantastic explanation for a complicated topic! Thanks for putting this together!
You’re literally a saint for this bro I was struggling out there😭😭

At least middling speed units have a glimmer of hope.
As both a Groom Hinata and Hríd enjoyer Summer Hríd really saved my life lmao i finally can use Hinata and have an actually meta relevant Hríd, i won.
@AlmondMilkLake Yeah, hopefully we get more skills like these on C skills or something, it would save so many old projects and shafted f2p units.
W video as always 🙏
Funny how I bothered to understand how Potent works so I googled it earlier today and this pops up
Thank you for your work 🙏
Thanks SacredSpear. I just kinda stopped caring, so having this video helps out so much.
Excelent video, help a lot to understand the SPD mods and follow up mechanics
Wow...this is a really good explanation. I never understood how this mechanic works, and I finally do now (I think). Great video!

Thanks for an incredible video again!! Excellent presentation and examples! X3
Thanks so much for this! Maybe now peeps will realize Frozen is a bit better than most give it credit for~
Good stuff man!
Man I sure to love math💀

In short we need a mathematics degree in order to understand Feh mechanics
Things have become far too complicated to enjoy this game.
The math for these rules feel like they were written for a tax loophole lol.
Haven’t started the vid, thought its just 25 phantom speed effectively
Edit: my brain melting i think ill just press end turn
