OMG !! Thank you so much for this video !!! yesterday I received my two replacement mirrors from eBay, for just over $40, while Honda wanted over $100 each.. I took off the right mirror which needed replacing and gave a yank on the wire hoping that the clips would just show up where I could reach them (lol) and of course they didn’t ... today I looked again and gave another tug and of course nothing happened, and then I found your video, and even though I have big hands, with the help of needle nose pliers and an awl To release one of the clips, I was able to get the job done in about 10 or 15 minutes, Including setting up lights in my garage and getting my socket set out and stuff like that.. you made it so easy... I was getting ready for bed when I watched your video, and then I ran downstairs because I was so excited that I had to do it now..! thank you thank you thank you 2011. CBR1000RR
Hey, just wanna say you're a godsend and thanks bunches for this video. Had my mirror broken off on my 2012 CBR1000rr by some movers and needed to switch it out. Great step by step tutorial. Safe riding and thanks again.
I don't know why but on mine the wires from the mirrors only went in the front of the boot, not through the back as in yours. FYI mine is straight from the factory, this is the first time I have ever taken the mirrors off. I know, its only a tiny thing but it does make connecting the wires a whole lot easier this way than trying to feed them through the back of the boot. lol. Thanks fro the video anyway, it certainly helped. :)
A pair of long nose pliers I found helped & a long narrow flat bladed screwdriver to push the cable connectors back into place Oh and mybe a LED torch for replacement of the cable connection wires tucking into a pastic tube deep into steering column area NB notice the two cables leave the plastic tube(use a torch) when removing the mirror assembly. The connectors will/should just about reach outside the mirror mounting hole area(DO NOT TRY TO STRETCH OR PULL HARD ON THE WIRES AS NO NEED TOO).To save your paint work on your bike you want to protect all the area that mirror may catch the paintwork while you try and disconnect the cable connectors, do this before de-mounting the mirror assembly.
Thanks Joseph. The mirrors will go back on after the 20th when I return from the track... It's really weird riding without them, but I need to get used to not relying on them for my track day. I'm not looking forward to putting them back on. LOL Its going to be a little more difficult I think.

This tutorial saved me from cutting the wires and then using male/female connectors. Thanks
Thanks so much! Helped me a lot in changing my 2012 blade's broken mirror 👍🏻
