Programming is probably not your strong suit so you should focus on schools that emphasize on the math/statistics more than the coding part, that way you're building on your strength.

My advice is to pursue another Master's degree in data science, data analytics, or machine learning... Most programs require extensive work on real-life capstone projects and internships, which will give you the experience you need. Just to add detail , You need to just understand the concepts of basic linear algebra , matrix computations and statistics . Anyone who did engineering math can easily manage the math part. Most of the math is made as functions and packages already . So be more good at code and get to understand stat , you can become the best !
If you want to consider data science then you need to be good at mathematics. You can make yourself good at maths if you desire but most people do not want to do this.
