But that said I have an old guy on my crew, he's 64, Can barely see, his knees are shot, he's slow, lazy, misses almost a day a week and is borderline useless save for random easy tasks I can get him to work on. But he has worked hard for years and is a really great guy in the end, asked him to take a small pay cut and I would reduce the demand I put on him. Been making sure I can keep him around till he can retire. In the end, we are all human and to throw a guy like that to the wolves at his age would make me a bad human, I can eat the minor loss that is probably less than $5000/year in wages. Not the exact same situation and I have removed many lazy young men from my crews over the year but sometimes you just need a guy to clean tools.

I was always taught that a manager/owner is only as good as what he is willing to do before he asks his employees to do the same. You do that and it is great to see it well executed. It seems to me obvious that when the wire mesh is lifted the aggregate in the concrete sits below it and the mesh will not return to the gravel bed even if stepped on.
My wife saw a flask at a flea market this week that said “V is for Vodka” and she no, “V is for Victory.” She loves Bugs and how you treat your kids and employees. It seems to me obvious that when the wire mesh is lifted the aggregate in the concrete sits below it and the mesh will not return to the gravel bed even if stepped on.
My wife saw a flask at a flea market this week that said “V is for Vodka” and she no, “V is for Victory.” She loves Bugs and how you treat your kids and employees. We always have such a great evening watching your videos. I always say, there’s a new concrete video and she goes “Eeeee”.
