Apollo looks great. What a good boy for helping you as you clipped his feathers. He is really smart but also a gentleman. Such a reliable soul. Thanks for the video.
I like how you say "we are only doing 22 kilometres".😊. I also watch black horses - Friesian Experience in Cartmel. Friesians are such beautiful horses and so intelligent 😊x
I like the clipped look. It’s the western US working ranch horse grooming. They don’t pick up thorns, grass seeds, and are easier to to check over for the sharps! Beautiful Apollo 👑👍
Tara would something like a stand the farrier uses save your back and be more comfortable for Apollo too? All the fur will be welcomed by the nesting birds. When our collies are casting, I put the fur in the hawthorn hedge for them.
I was thinking the same thing a farrier stand or a very sturdy metal stool! Apollo is so intelligent he would understand just like he does with the farrier! Also if you could sit on a stool while doing his feathers! I know it’s dangerous but I think you could trust Apollo! I find at my age, I want to do things still but need to figure new ways! You must preserve your back so you can ride our favorite horses! Have a good weekend! 🐎⭐️⭐️❤️❤️
I love it when you’ve trimmed his legs he looks even more handsome. He’s still obviously Friesian he can’t hide what he is and it prob feels better for him in warmer weather coming. Ohhhh such a difference he looks magnificent.
I was watching a farrier and learned from her those "things" that look kinda like the same stuff as chestnuts are called ergots. The farrier was doing bare foot Gypsy Vanners and when she came to that farm she did the fetlock trimming as well because the owner could not get down there anymore...
🐴🐴💙...Can't beat a relaxing "Clipping" Video 😌♥️ Apollo such a Gentle Soul😇🐴👑...Exciting to hear Apollo's going on an Event can't wait! Loved this! Thank you ever so much for sharing and All take care!🙏🥰🤗🤗🐶🖤...🐴🐴💙
Good decision clipping to avoid getting all that mud in his feathers. Different if a Friesan only on roads, but muddy feathers can lead to trouble. Apollo so special❤❤❤❤
Nothing as bad as a bad back Tara good you are pacing yourself. I was just thinking you could do with a gantry walk raised up for ease on your back when clipping. You’ll need to get clever Rens to come up with a plan maybe use the end of your lawn and haha to make life easier just put a nose bag on Apollo though so he can’t eat the lawn 😂😂 Although the feathers look nice I think Apollo looks smarter without them 🐎🐎🐎
His hooves look so good! Great shape, perfect frog. I hope the farrier agrees and just gives him a shape-up. What a wonderful boyo he is. I didn't know your back was acting up; I knew you were having issues with something, didn't know it was your back! Sorry to hear it. Glad you are on the mend. I, too, have been struggling with lower back issues since last Fall. I got really tired of not being able to do anything without having to stop and stretch out. I think i have finally put together a program that is making it better: 1/2 hour of various yoga poses and exercises to strenghten my core and lower back, 2 advil every 5 hours for another week, massage, a chiropractor who uses an activator (no cracking for me!), and complete rest. I am on day 3 of the program and it seems to be working. Hardest thing was canceling everything and just hanging out on sofa or bed, walking my dog only for short potty breaks & hiring walkers for hour long hikes. But since it seems to be working i'm going to stick with it. So i wish you well. PS - i absolutely love how you and Apollo look at each other! Check it out on the video. It's lovely to see. Tell Rens i said "FORE". 😂😂😂❤❤
I just ran to the Community page. I know you delivered our BRAVEHEART into good hands. Enjoy your new home/family/life dear Prince Farouk👑❤ 😢I will miss you! Ttfn!!~♡♡♡♡♡♡
Apollo is a very good boy lifting his feet one at a time for you Tara. Wondering using a very sturdy stool for Apollo to rest his foot on as this would make it easier for you to shave his feathers off (Similar to the stool the farrier uses when they are filing the front of the horses hoof) & save your back at the same time. ❤❤❤
Apollo always likes to lend a helping hoof where he can😂
👍
I know his feathers are mud collectors but he looks so much like a Friesian with them.
Tara happy mothers day and your loving furbabies many happy trails together forever 💖 we love yous God bless 🌹 💐 🏵 🥀 🌹 💐 🏵
I love these maintenance/housekeeping videos. It fondly reminds me how much I loved every bit of horse ownership. Thank you Tara!❤
Breaks for Apollo are breaks for you as well. That is bending over unsupported for any length of time is tough! ❤️❤️🏇🏇🥰🥰😵💫😵💫
Apollo will have a set of trim heels for his outing.
Good lad, Apollo. 🥰
Apollo is so wiling to be helpful! 💕I know what you mean about your back - mine is out at the moment. It’s good you take care of yourself, Tara. 😊💕
Apollo is such a good boy. Very well behaved.

Apollo is a intelligent horse and a good boy
He's so well mannered and gorgeous. ❤
Wow what a difference that makes. He is all spruced up now and ready to go. The birds will like that hair that is cut off for their nests.
Apollo is so very majestic ✨️ looking!!!

Sharps, burrs, etc., AND mud fever.

I love that you clip his feathers, so easy to see any problems with his hocks or hoofs. I am very glad you are his forever home. ☺👑🐴💞☺😊 🏆

Aww what a shame. I love horses with hairy hooves. I think it's cute and makes me think of unicorns. 😊🦄

The birdies 🐦 are going to be very happy with Apollo's winter coat 🖤! The big good lad is loving his pedicure ❣

What a good boy! Looks much sleeker too after his trim. Do watch your back Tara, I know what that's like and you have to be so careful 😊
Hi Tara, I agree with your. I think Apollo looks much tidiedr with his feathers trimmed. I like the clean shaven look in men too!😊
😂👍
