whenever i try to smudge the dark parts, it never blends properly because the paint dries almost immediately... do you have any idea what could be the problem? i use a lot of water
You could dry to draw when the paper is still wet or don't draw all of the dark area at once to minimize the time between applying the paint and smudging. If that doesn't help than you could try using even more water with even less paint than you're currently using. I hope that'll help you.
@@ninjafri3nd_841 i've tried it all and the only thing that worked for me is smudging right after applying the paint. it's a little bothersome since I have to go back between the darker and lighter color but at least it works. thank you for your help!
@@tini3563 No problem I had a similar problem with my colours. ^^
I have the same problem too! From my experience, it's because the type of watercolor paper I use. The more cotton the paper has the longer it dries/ absorbs the water.
