I think you would love aquarelle pencils eg by Faber Castell. You can draw (and erase) with them first like pencils and then use a brush and water on them to paint like watercolors.

Thanks so much! I would love it if you could show some more manga-style line art and (monochrome) shading by hand, with dip pen, brush pen, alcolhol markers or watercolor. I can draw pencil sketches by hand and digital ok, but this technique is difficult (hardly any corrections possible, even when dry ink not completely waterproof ...). :)

I just bought winsor newton watercolor and escoda taylor brushes. What brand of paper would you recommend? ✨ Arches is too expensive🥲

I brought hot pressed Baohong Watercolour blocks and it’s pretty good (just my opinion) but I’m a beginner and I use a $9 Watercolour paints from Kmart with the paper. It’d probably work better with your Windsor Newton water colors. I use mix media brushes
