Ive had about 15 superfire 2 in the past 20 years. They are a great torch, but the thread will go eventually or if you knock it over or drop it too much the nozzle will work loose from the body. I think the design of the nerrad is slightly better if your clumsy like me. This is what I buy now. Still on my first one. Im on price every day on site. Will say it does struggle with 54/67mm fittings. Superfire 2 kicks out more heat.
I had both Rothenberger and Nerrad. -First I had Rothenberger packed up because I I got faulty bottle and cross-threaded it. It was great blowtorch, I loved it but it was a shame that it got ruined this way. -Second one was Nerrad, nice and sturdy, cold tip and all nice features but flame wasn't quite how I wanted it to be, it wasn't also reliable. Sometimes I had to ignite it twice to finally have correct flame (strange I know). I just l lost my Nerrad somewhere and I must say I'm buying SuperFire again, it's just so much better flame, so much better blowtorch. Just be careful about the threads and servicing it.
Thanks for putting the time into this video, I found it helpful I have a monument lamp myself iv had it maybe a year the button was always sticky just like in your vid and lately there's very little pressure coming out of it. I think it's time for a change.
For soldering…any of the three should be fine. However, for bronze or copper brazing we need to know the hottest one…I’m thinking Rothenberger because mine heats small metal parts to a good bright yellow heat…like prolly 1100 C.
I'm not sure whether anyone has experienced this but I took my propane bottle of my super2 today and the tank didn't seal....very bad propane freeze burn on my hand as in panic tried to reconnect the torch.
Your dead right mate , that thing sure looks like shite............wouldn't last a week on my jobs Rothenberger every time for me, i usually get about 2-3 years worth of work from them Top notch kit........
baxi with you Olive cutters soooo confusing as iv thought straight about OLIVES PLANT cutters and it just Olive based Shampoo you talking about and copper pipes as we bout Immergas for cottage and looking into bathing while father not agree to by OLIVE based shampoo for "not leasening hear" as put on lables.Going for Shauma ShwartzCopf instead.

You can buy the swirl tip for rothenberger blowtorch which keeps it cool 😎
I believe they came out a little while after this video, thanks for watching
Turbo torch extreme is the best I’ve had
I would recommend the monument for crème brûlée
What fuel are you using in your test? Propane/butane mix?
i normally use Propane. Thanks for watching.
rothenberger now has a cool tip nozzle too :)
Jonathan smith I have just bought one today , looking forward to trying it.
ok, ok... but which one makes the best creme brulee ?
ha ha i am aure they will all do the job.

Rothenburger is in my van it 10 years old fucked but still works..
If you have the fame on low for a bit it will get red hot no matter what tip you use
Why choose the Rothenberger if the Nerrad is better?
The Nerrad isnt better in my opinion. Thanks for watching.
Dickie dyer make one almost exactly the same as the nerrad, I say almost because it's probably not same quality
Nerrad Is Darren spelt backwards. Darren Chalkly was the founder of the brand.
None of those. The best is bernzomatic with swirl nosel.
Aren't they made in the same factory, and a benzo is just a cheaper version with a different brand on it?
Bernzomatic ts8000 Looks externally to be a rebranded Rothenberger SF2.
hi mate just purchased a devil fire 3 woundered if you come across these.
Sounds like some sort of sex toy. Does it double up as a blow torch too 😂
All respect! Nerrad far away best torch!
If u are a pro, u know what u need.
Rothenberger and Monument are for mates!
I didn't really like the Nerrad one, It went in the bin a long time ago. Personal choice though. Thanks for watching.

Looks can be deceiving, its the best torch I've ever used and I won't go back to Rothenberger now. It's £20 more expensive than the Rothenberger.
@@Sash_Window Are you still using the Nerrad ?? is your opinion still the same. Thanks
After all that you still use press fits. 😂👌
Pressfit just makes it easy lol. Thanks.
Stay away from turbotorch dangerous
Thanks.
