Diaz is on 55k a week. Heavily underpaid. Lpool are trying to make an improved contract. If we get a reasonable offer - we should sell. I think we can get better output for similar transfer money.
90% of South American players will always favour Spain, plus they will go to a big team in a country they can settle into easily.Just hope that we don’t get a Coutinho 2.0.
I think Luis Diaz would like to sign a new contract (if offered), but Michael Edwards may see this season as an opportunity to cash in on a £37m signing (who probably cost £50m after appearance, etc) who will be 28 next month. Diaz's next contract will be his biggest and last at LFC; but his stats seem low for renewal. Diaz is 1 goal in 4 games & 1 assist in 10 games. Edwards may see those stats as replacable, as his predecessor (Mane) was 1 goal in 2 & 1 assist in 6.5 games.
I must be a odd Liverpool fan. I just think over all this contract rubbish that they should be offered one and if they don't sign then they can go, no matter who you are.
Not sure Dunc. I like Diaz, but I think his importance is a little overstated. I think Szbozolai at LW and Gakpo could replicate his numbers across a season.
I dont know if he has actually said he wants to leave, although his father has implied it..If he does want out, then let him leave and keep Nunez to play wide left with Gakpo...Then get Marmoush in to replace him..
We should sell him even if he doesn't want to go, he ain't good enough 8 goals in 37 premier league games last season, he's shite and never consistent, plays the ball looking down, dribbles with no finishing product, and Nunez should be sold in January he's the worst signing the club has ever made, we are depending on a 32 year old winger to score and contribute in more than 70% of our goals, just like last season, come April we will bottle it bcz we have players like Nunez & Diaz bt this fan base mentality is like that of a middle table club raise your standards and demand for crap player's like them to be sold as early as possible.

What’s your thoughts on agents? I assume some of the discrepancies are caused by them making as much as they can off the back of their clients. I honestly believe the player should pay the agent NOT the club as the agent is employed by them, surprised players not realise they could get the agents fee if ditched them.
If they give us 90 million for Diaz all parties are happy , Diaz is a very good player but he is inconsistent and replaceable ! I would want a player like mane instead of Diaz who has a much better output, is more consistent and a much better winger but there are not many mane -esque wingers in market 🫡
I'd like to see Diaz stay, but at what cost? Seems like we've got options on the left. Make a buck in a sale and pick up a new center fwd? Tired of the AA drama. FSG should tell him, you have 48 hours to decide, and shop for more back line players.
Perhaps we won't find or have (since jurgen) better squad depth quality than Diaz, a versatile in many areas. Plus he plays for his teammates on the pitch, maybe not overly intelligently, tho it's something a top club like Barca want

Hey Dunk. Don't Spanish clubs have 2 financial targets in terms of balancing the books and a revenue to wage cap? I believe the respected ESPN journo I saw suggested Barca need £200m capital injection to register Olmo (the Nike deal according to this journo would give them £150m of this IF it happens in time) but also to lower their wage bill by £60m a season. Suggestions from him that pressure will be applied to De Jong and Lewandowski to leave the club which would almost meet their wage cap if they did. All sounds complicated tbh.
If he thinks or has any info that Barcelona will come in for him in the summer, then no I don't think he will, unless it is an offer from Liverpool he can't refuse.

Diaz Barca claims are ludicrous when Dani Olmo has to sit the rest of the season bc of finances. Barca knows damn well they aren’t getting Diaz for anything less than £80M so it’s just made up BS.
I already had that suggestion inhere... Probably we can ship L.Diaz to Barcelona plus 30+40 millions for De Jong, But Only if they will agree to share his Salary for the first 1 or even Second Season in LIVERPOOL! For sure there is some Solution for both Sides!!! The only thing is if ARNE SLOP WILL LIKE TO TAKE HIM IN LFC!!! SO, the Time will tell!!! Up the Reds!!! 😊

Can you imagine the comments are hoping he stays and the club should offer him more wages, this fan base mentality is why this club won one league title in 33yrs, Luis Diaz scored 8 goals in 37 premier league games last season how can a team that challenges for a title be okay with that? What does he offer to this other than dribbling with no finishing product
Question of the Day: Do you think Luis Diaz will sign a new contract with Liverpool?
Yes Diaz is a great addition to the team, he makes things happen
No, I think he wants to move his family to a Spanish speaking country to keep his parents safe and happy.

Yeah, then after two seasons of crap football people will start blaming them for letting the go
I agree make a decent proposal and take it or leave it
If Barcelona come in for Luis Daiz in the Summer we should let him go
Only if the price is right, Barca will offer 6m plus some old donkey the tight wads.
We should let him go? You should go root for barca instead
What are Barcelona going to use for money? Have they finished paying for Coutinho yet?😉
Olmo has to sit bc of finances. Barca can’t afford Diaz.
Not sure Dunc. I like Diaz, but I think his importance is a little overstated. I think Szbozolai at LW and Gakpo could replicate his numbers across a season.

Diaz is on 55k. I think he wants an improved contract. Luis Diaz deserves 100k in my opinion. Barca come calling - sell up (60m)

Apparently on talkSPORT Trent wants to build a Liverpool legacy

Barcelona don’t have $ 😂
Diaz wants to go to Barca but I think if we offer a big enough deal he would take it
yeh I think we should act fast with this one

Fsg are cheap skates.
Every players contract becomes a problem.
They should rather bought bournemouth
