Also anyone who watched the video and thought about trying this game out, I strongy reccomend against it lol. Over the course of the filming of this video, I saw a tribe speedhacking 5 seperate times (not precome, some other tribe). I reported them (with video evidence), and as far as I could tell, they were not banned.
And when I say speedhacking, I don't mean a guy running 20% faster or whatever. these guys could could enter and exit render distance of a player in about 2 seconds. So they were travelling at something like 10X(!!!) the speed possible. How the game doesn't automitcally detect someone moving TEN TIMES faster then possible is beyond me, but here we are.

I have no more than maximum 50 hours is ark. I joined a server as a fresh spawn and this guy jumped off his rex and killed me.
When I asked why he said because it's fun and he doesn't care.
So me and a friend spent 25 hours luring his dinos into water and having sharks kill them.
He was not happy. Apparently there's valuable armor that dinos can have. 😅

@@manboy4720 not really ark is quite literal cock and ball torture while rust can actually be fun in a multiplayer setting im not quite sure why my only guess is that raiding in ark takes no skill or planning and is not really resource intensive while rust raiding is much more difficult due to many factors like guns actually working, power dynamics between new and old players,and that in rust unlike ark buildings actually act like buildings also tons of player to player interactable content that rust has other than arks Op creature that they say was designed for pve

It has been a while since a gaming video has kept me watching every second and enjoying all of it. The motivation, strategy, dedication, and the amazing use of real guerilla warfare tactics made this not only very entertaining, but truly inspiring to show how you can bring down a stronger opponent with careful planning, weakness exploitation, psychological warfare, deception, and wearing them down with hit-and-run attacks. And you did not even use their resources for your own gain, you just wanted to bring down a world-dominating clan to free the server from their rule. It felt like I was watching a war movie about vengeance. Absolutely loved the video, keep doing what you're doing man!

I really think games need to set boundaries on where you can build. It is totally bull shit when tribes close stuff off or trap you in a spawn point. I have dealt with this in the past and one solution that could be nice is a “decay” mechanic. Structures loose integrity when players don’t tend to them or if they make too many of them, which makes them decay quicker.
This does exist, its just most servers have it off I believe.
One game that does this pretty well is Conan Exiles I feel. It keeps you from blocking off areas of importance without an utterly profound resource expenditure.

While I never gave Ark a real chance, I played Conan a lot for many years and had plenty of similar experiences so this video was strangely nostalgic for me. Your video editing and telling of the story was perfect and I ended up watching the whole thing, well done!

One of my favorite moments in ark was opening up the defenses of the bully tribe allowing a full server raid on them.
I was casing their base all night and their builder was working on upgrading defenses he was making new gens for the turrets but he ended up cutting the wiring the from the old gens before building the replacement wires from the new ones so the moment he broke that wire ALL the turrets went down and my Job started...

In the old Ark, me and 3 buddies sort of did something similar albeit they came to us first. It was a massive tribe called Rebellion and they sort of had a thing with another large tribe ironically called "Guerilla Welfare". We were cordial with them at first and helped them and in some ways they helped us but my closest friend and I had a little facade going.
I built my base in front of their mega base with the idea of that being a FoB in the event of an attack on us, and at the very least some cover to help us advance. Everyone thought we were incapable of PvP and sucked but at some points my friend would bring his alt account in, I'd hand over my tribe and we'd make a new one. This was also during the time of Bob's and Joe's which we were.
Eventually the alpha tribe(s) got bored and set up a metal FoB ahead of my base and I knew something was up so I alerted my friends. It was easily a 40 vs 4 at least. The two brothers stayed behind and sniped, while me and my best friend were on the front lines with our crazy builds (250 strength, super speed and swamp fever) which was crazy to the point you just saw a blur. We easily killed their battle brontos, wyverns, stone golems, pretty much anything they could bring. We strapped bombs to my best friend and he'd use his sheer speed to just punch holes in their offense all the while I used whips to steal rockets, rifles, and anything I could to turn the tide.
We all fought for about 8 hours all the way into the early morning hours and at this point they still haven't breached our main bases main gate, and my base was still standing and was functioning as the cover I'd hoped for. They were so worn down, they had to send people to mine and get wood for arrows.... we fought them back to the stone age and we still had a massive arsenal and most of our dinos left. I told my friends that guys like this will never stop due to their numbers vs ours so it was a good time to call it and despawn EVERYTHING in the compound. We released all our dinos and they distracted them for a long time, meanwhile I stayed behind to fight while my friends took some birds and their boat to travel north to the Alpha's base. The razed it to the ground and seeing that news in the chat as I fought was a huge morale boost... we just took these fools out with us on our terms.
We started getting bored of the game but didn't want to just let our stuff rot away so this was a good way to go. Ark was fun but I probably don't have it in me to do public servers anymore with my 9-5 and photography side business. It's still a battle I was happy that happened and one I won't soon forget. I did check on them around 1PM the day of, and they finally got into one section of the base and to their dismay, there was nothing to be had. They lost all their dinos, their bases, and everything all because they got greedy and assumed the four of us didn't know how to fight. This is probably the best example of "I didn't hear no bell" you could find.

Man, that brings back a memory from Rust! Taking on a zerg clan by wearing them down. We spent the whole weekend respawning and coming back with just about anything we could use to hit them when they walked out of their compound. We'd expose ourselves to waste their turret ammo! Until on day 3 they had ran out of resources, so we crawled in and took a part of their base. They left after that.
